Too bad he does none of those things
I don't care what orlando is asking for, they won't get it. For the obvious reasons that they have no leverage. Also the sixers would be getting nothing from Orlando, so Im not sure how that factors into the Sixers having to give up more than Iggy. Ask the olympic team how valuable Iggy is.
Also Gasol is rumored to be going to Orlando in THIS deal.
Lakers! Howard is going to kill it with Nash at point. Oh yeah Kobe and Pau are pretty good too. Bring that title back to LA where it belongs!
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
Wow Lakers now have Kobe, Nash, gasol, and Howard. Big time team. Gotta go to the finals.
Surprised the best power Orlando got back was Al Harrington.
As for the sixers, giving up Vuc, Moe (we hardly knew ye), and Iggy for Bynum and Richardson is a good deal. Have to lock up Bynum though.
Orlando is also getting back three 1st round picks (one from each team in the trade) while at the same time shedding salary which is what they preferred at the end of the day.
Soooo imo the Sixers might have just won huge in this deal if they can sign Bynum long term. I don't mind them giving up the pick and Harkless and Vuc because they also get jason Richardson in the deal.
Okay Im not the only one who thinks that Orlando is the only one in the trade that didn't make out well right? Everyone else is a definite winner except them
Howard a Laker. Bynum will re-sign in Philly. Denver saves $15 million in 2014-15. Only team this wasn't a no-brainer for is...Orlando
Meyer4Prez "This is wut happens when ur team site analyst are huge homers glad Bill K+Alex G keep it real instead of getting our hopes up."
Actually IMO Richardson is the one negative in the deal for the Sixers because of his contract. He's signed for another three years at roughly $6M per.
OMFG did he say re-sign....
A proven scorer who can shoot the three is okay by me. I'll have to check the cap numbers, they might end up shipping him out anyway.
I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but if they can't get Bynum to resign then isn't this an awful deal? Essentially andre iguodala and two first round picks for one year rent on Bynum and a guard Orlando was trying to get rid of. Please explain
If Bynum doesn't re-sign with the Sixers, then that would free up a boat load of cap space for the Sixers to become major players in free agency for the next offseason or two. Also, the Sixers could move him at the trade deadline or trade him in the off-season next year via a sign and trade in order to get talent and/or picks back for him.

1. Great move for the Lakers. They definitely are the best team in the West. Quite possibly the entire league.
2. The Magic wanted to be the losers. Shed salary, get draft picks, and suck. They're ripping the team apart, and will try to strike gold with lottery picks the next few years.
3. I don't see the Nuggets really getting all that better. They'll just stay the solid team they are.
4. Sixers improve this upcoming season, but more importantly for the future. Jrue/Bynum is a beautiful pair. If Bynum doesn't re-sign, oh well. At least they tried. The mediocre seasons got old. This was a move that means the front office wants to win. Getting a top 20 player, one who is a young center, is great.
Adande tweeted earlier that Bynum would stay in Philly. Worst case scenario is the Sixers can sign whoever they want the next year or two, like Hesel said.
Some Potential Free Agents in 2013. 2014 might be even better and deeper.

Not sure your source, but the Cavs have Irving under team control through the 2014-2015 season. He'll be a restricted free agent in 2015, but the Cavs will obviously match any offer(if he doesn't sign an extension before that).

Honestly, I think Orlando got a very good deal, compared to others that were rumored. They got rid of bad contracts Duhon, and Richardson (Richardson is good and fits the Sixers' need, but he is a bad contract for a rebuilding team). They added young talent Harkless and Vuc. (I really like Harkless...I think he can be a shutdown defensive SF) I also really like Affalo...I think he is a very solid player. They also added the three future 1st round draft that they wanted.
It might not be sexy (by not adding a big name), but its a solid draft. Plus, the 2015 draft is looks like it going to be a loaded and having multiple picks that year will be huge.
Yeah, I'm far from a Lakers fan but that is one helluva starting 5!

Yes he is "under control". After this coming season he is a potential free agent if they dont pick up his option. Not saying they wont do that, but he is still a potential free agent.
Sixers still need to make another move. We now have three "starting centers", a logjam at SG and no back up point.
Actually I would put my money on Hawes starting at the 4 this year. Lavoy may eventually beat him out but Hawes next to Bynum wouldn't be the worst idea ever. AB covers up for Hawes defensively and Hawes can space the floor. Start - Jrue/Wright/Turner/Hawes/Bynum with a bench of Ollie/Young/Thad/Allen/Brown. That's a pretty darn good 10-deep if you ask me. I know Ollie is garbage but I doubt we see much backup PG play as both Jrue and ET can play the point.
EDIT: Completely forgo about J-Rich. Bench of Young/Jrich/Thad/Allen/Brown. I think Nick Young is the perfect ignitor-6th man for this team to take Lou's role.
Bill Simmons’ take on Jason Richardson sneaking into this trade.
“It’s amazing that Orlando was so focused on dumping Richardson (someone who easily could have a big comeback year) over dumping Turkoglu (who makes more than Richardson and is what he is). Big mistake. Richardson’s the perfect fit for a low-post threat like Bynum — he spreads the floor and makes 3s. Sneaky-good move by Philly there.”
