I haven't listened to it yet, but you can scroll down towards the bottom of the page where the podcasts are and listen for yourself. I see those guys regularly at the gym I workout.

really great listen....seems like such a down to earth guy.
+1. I. LOVE. My. Coach.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Love the joke he made about all his offensive lineman being smarter than he is (4 of them w/ 3.5 or better and the other at 3.3+).
Question: Talked about his name being mentioned with various openings, college and NFL and asked him what he was comfortable saying about that
Answer: "I plan on being the head football coach at Penn State. You know, that's my plan and that's what I intend to do."
O'B reported that he said, "fighters."
Talking about Happy Valley: Beautiful place... great people... Love their University and football program. Specifically mentions how good the schools are for both his kids and another restaurant he really likes (Kelly's) down the road.
"Penn State has taken a lot of punches in the last six months and it's time to punch back" - BOB
also mentioned how he loves the schools and the school system is great for his kids and mentioned one of his favorite restaurants is Kelly's in Boalsburg (might have to check it out, next time i'm up)
Him mentioning the school system is key!
so, can we call this case closed? Is this difinitive enough to soothe the nervous nellies?
Great interview..I think he stays. The comments about what he said or didn't say,was priceless.Love our coach..

No, I know I might be paranoid but until all the HC jobs are filled I still won't sleep easy. I know I'm nitpicking but using "I plan..." as opposed to "I will..." still leaves the door open. Other coaches have said similar things and then have left.
Dominate The State
Amen to this!
What's not to love about this guy?!
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
It's like his eyeballs are going to leap out and put a beat down on the ref.
"You can take bowl games and you can take external things from people, but you can't take a warrior's heart."
You are not going to get an "I will" from this coach. He has too much integrity for that. What you will get IMO are indirect references from Coach O'Brien of his intention to stay.
Again this is just my opinion but his dream job might be HC of the Patriots and he won't leave here for anything less. He's young, there's already a buzz about his coaching ability, he is in a great spot and his family is very important to him. Think about it. He'd never move to another college and why would he consider a pro job with a team with mediocre talent or less. He could have had that already. People may be skiddish because of some coaches who always are looking for the next opportunity but Coach O'Brien is not one of those.
Look what he's done in just one year. Do you seriously think he's saying to himself, "Oh woe is me for the next 3 years." Hell no. He's planning on being even better. When the Patriot's HC job comes open (not anytime soon) then there may be cause for concern but until then, enjoy the ride. The HC is not going anywhere.

No. He should say nothing else. We'll know in February.
Think that says it all! +1
darren rovell @darrenrovell
Agent for Penn State coach Bill O'Brien, Joe Linta, says his client has no interest in leaving school. If he did, buyout would be $9.2M.
Oh brother. I love PSU football as much as the next guy, but I'm glad nothing about it is preventing me from sleeping easy. Life is too short.
He is not leaving. He is an ex-pro coach and is talking in their lingo. They all speak in terms of "I plan on being the coach here..." He does not mean he is going anywhere, just hoping the owner doesn't fire him. Relax.
He said "i plan" to be the coach not i definitely will bethe coach. BoB is leaving the door open imho.
IMHO you are an idiot and an a$$hole
Dude, I don't usually agree with many of your posts, but THIS deserves and UPVOTE +1
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
Except trock im usually spot on.
Yeah, Temple is fricking awesome.
I've said all, along that I didn't think OB was going anywhere. Some of you need to stop nitpicking over idiotic nuances like " I plan or I will" the whole idea of him leaving was started by the media in the first place and of course we know that they are always right on in the fact department. He said he was staying--- nuf said!
