According to Jed:
Cryst is interviewing at Wis. He is Barry's favorite. Good as gone.
He believes Tom B. would be perfect fit for Pitt.
RE: Big 10 expansion: GT to Big is a done deal. Will be announced soon.
NC has been offered and needs to decide between Big and SEC.
FSU and Clemson to SEC.
Hearing a merger possible between ACC leftovers and Big 12.
Michigan AD admits that 70% of university's fund raising occurs during football season.
The only thing that would surprise me there is FSU and Clemson to the SEC.
Most people in the college football world say that FSU and Clemson do not have the votes needed to get into the SEC. Bradley would be a great fit but it is not going to happen as long Pederson is the AD, Temple is much more likely.

“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
That would or would not surprise you? Those are two teams that belong in the SEC.
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
How credible is Jed for us non central PA guys? Some really bold statements there
Jed covers PSU but is from Ohio and an OSU fan. His is pretty solid when talking about the Big 10.
Last I heard the SEC did not want 2 teams in the same MSA (i.e. Florida and Florida State). So I, too, would be surprised if that happened.
I would think VT and UNC/NC State would be more likely.
And USCe and UF do not want them in.
Did not know that and wouldn't have thought it either.
I don't want Rutgers or Pitt because they suck. USCe and Florida don't want in-state rivals because they're too good?

God I really want to enjoy these Cryst rumors but I fear that once I do, BOB will leave us.
See, I thought FSU and Clemson were headed to the Big 12.
I guess at this point, who the hell knows what will happen with conference expansion.
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
It helps their programs, hurts USCe and UF's in state advantage, screws with schedulling and adds no TVs.
Tom B. has no prayer for the Pitt job if Chryst bolts. He was passed over twice for a reason.
Exactly. It's really sad because he has the local connection in Pittsburgh and I think he could turn that program around and make it somewhat competitive like when Wanny was there but he will never get that chance as long as they have the yoohoo Stevenson as AD.
Hopefully Scrap gets the Temple job.
A lot of Pitt fans wanted him the won thing that kills him is Pederson does not want a Penn State guy coaching Pitt football, he really hates Penn State.
Jed said Matt Ruhle has the inside track for the Temple opening.
One thing about Tom, he would be devoted to Pitt and wouldn't be a one-and done type of guy. That said, his connection to PSU is way too rough to overcome for that job.
At what point does the AD get fired? To have this much turnover reflects more on him and his judgement than the program.
The reason Pitt has sucked for this long, is because that idiot can neither recognize integrity nor football intelligence. Scrap has both.

lol what a joke. That 70% number from the Michigan AD came from the 60 minute special a few weeks ago. lol.
I just don't get the G Tech play ... UVA and NC would be plenty and closer. UVA would be much better than Rutgers. The school is top notch academically and better than GT overall atheletics.
Don't believe the part about Chryst being as good as gone or even interviewing. He has really been telling recruits he is staying (i know happens all the time) and if he really was going to be the Whisky head coach - i believe it would have happened by now.
If Chryst leaves now he will get hammered in the media - and i don't think he is Todd Graham like character.
By now? They just lost their coach 2-3 days ago. I'm not so sure I agree with the timeline as any indicator right now. He has to tell recruits he is staying until he gets a new job. It would be dumb as hell to say...yeah...I may not be here.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
Not very. He doesn't have any real sources for anything above the PA HS football level. He's usually about a week behind the message boards for rumors/trends (like GT to the Big 10, for example).
Remember he did haveMd and Rutgers to the big 10 first.
