How is he not at least a 7 star???
I'm sorry, the board over there is becoming like BWI. Bunch of loonies running around. I was there for a 2 month trial, and couldn't bear to read the board, plus they have essentially 0 recruiting coverage.
Also, idk where people think they are better on team coverage, I read their reports from this spring...nothing this site hadn't already published.
I subscribe to both. I like 247 better, but I like to read what a few of the posters over there have to say.
I love cruises, too.
Just personal preference. Every board has their loonies (including this one), but I've been posting there since the Playbook days and enjoy the football and wrestling conversation. There appears to be somewhat of a generational difference between the 2 boards and I tend to enjoy discussing things with folks who understand that Penn State football and recruiting actually existed before Derrick Williams. With that comes more insiders as well (some better than others). The sanction/conspiracy talk has gotten a bit out of control, but as an alum, I do think issues related to the BOT/Freeh are valid and important, and appreciate some of the insider knowledge posted on those topics. Also, as I stated, I think Brennan is the best in the business at covering PSU sports (though Sean nails recruting like no other which is why I also subscribe here0.
Room for both in my life....
Not sure if the Beh comment was meant for me but as I stated the FOS guys have been saying he's about 250. The 290 thing is probably a mistake/typo.
Yesterday on TAP they discovered that Richy Anderson was moved to WR
Instead of having this thread go down the pissing war path, I think we can use it to better the site. Personally, I feel like we're shortchanged on our team coverage because most think that we're just a recruiting site. What can we do better in that area?

Excellent team coverage.
You are referring to one comment where it was pointed out that RA is now "listed as a WR" (which I believe is the first time he has been listed as such on an offical release).
I don't get the obsession with criticizing FOS some of you have. I've never seen anyone over there say anything but complimentary things the job Sean and all do over here.
I guess Anderson playing WR since he got here wasn't official enough?
More wrestling coverage. That's one of the main reasons I still head over to Scout.
Although, I guess it isn't really info from the staff there. There are just a lot of knowledgeable wrestling posters on their wrestling board.
Greg didn't say "Anderson is now PLAYING WR", he said he is now officially "listed" as such in post lisiting changles in the depth chart release. There are any number of articles from the spring over there discussing his practice play at WR.
Anyway, seems like a starnge thing to obsess over.
I'd kind of like a 1-stop shop for info I usually have to scour the web to get. The Recruiting features in the menu far exceed the team-features. Some info I look for elsewhere includes...
For the record, both sites do a very good job or I wouldn't pay.
I would love to see articles like these:
edit: This was In response to Sean's post about additional team news.
With apologies to Denny Green, recent film study confirmed something that a lot of people have been thinking. When given the opportunity, Steve McLendon has been pretty good.
Taking a closer look at the enigma that is Ziggy Hood.
The recent signing of Larry Foote was not met with a lot of enthusiasm within Steeler Nation. There definitely seems to be disconnect between how the Steeler coaches view Foote, and how the fans view him. Lets take a look at what the tape says.
Steelers LG Ramon Foster will be a strong contributing factor to one of the games the film to prove it.

If anyone is obsessed it would be you trying to figure out why people laugh at them. Not part of Scout, never was, heard they're all conspiracy theorists more worried about trying to free Paterno than about sports. That sounds awful. But that said I don't think they are even the most knocked site here, which would be BWI by far. Sites posters will always give shit to others, just is what it is. FOS doesnt get anything too bad. Except for Audibles which is god awful.
Audibles aka the savages
I'll defend anyone from unwarranted criticism. I mean, what's the point really? Don't like it, don't pay...and leave it at that. I have never belonged to BWI so I don't feel qualiifed to criticize it.
Agree Audibles is a train wreck so I don't read it. There are a few "free Paterno" folks on TAP, most of whom are close to or are members of the Paterno family, but they are only a vocal minority. (FWIW , I am a vocal opponent of them). Still, it's reasonable IMO to debate those type of issues.
I've mentioned the stats part here before. The depth chart would also be nice and really wouldn't take too much to upkeep.
FOS posters are or we're stuck in HS for a long time. That community was a wreck because of the mob clique mentality. Those freaks tried to blacklist me for these same comments made on another site. Then they somehow said I was talking about Cory to justify it. They didn't bother asking, but they were busy with Arby's threads so I can see why. I would hope the clique over there grew up, but I doubt it. They still probably are having the insider trophy competitions.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
Can't blame them about Arby's. I get pissed about that all the time.
Idk what happened to Arbys but roast beef is delicious. Beef n cheddar...ooooooo boy....
We used to have two of them in State College. The one in the mall wasn't making enough money, so it went out of business. The one on the corner of Atherton and College Ave had a car or something crash into it. They fixed the place up but then closed a few months later. I have no idea why, but now the nearest Arbys is like 45 minutes away.
