I hear ya.
Besides, it is SO much better to be bitching about ESPN not talking about us enough than the alternative which was 6 months ago.

Espn has said some wonderful about bob and recruiting so far. You guys only focus on the negative.
This is getting old and pathetic guys. If you don't think for one second that ESPN would love nothing more for PSU to rise from the ashes and become a national power again then you really have no concept of how media works. Its about ratings, and historically PSU has given ESPN some of its best ratings. Nobody is put to "get us" except Jerry. That is where you anger should be channeled.
I kind of like starting the year out outside of ESPN's radar. Its kind of like hiding in the weeds with a really big stick.
With a new coach, QB uncertainties, a new offense, we are going to have some very ugly series and lack luster wins in the first 4 or 5 games next fall. It will take time to gel and build momentum. If we come to the Iowa game undefeated, people will start to take notice, especially if the defense is stout and the offense is improving. Having less pressure and national attention on PSU early this fall is all good.
Let ESPN tout O$U and UM all they want this summer and early fall, it is the results on the field that will ultimately count.
I agree. Who cares what they say? I'd rather sneak up on other teams....beat the pants off them.....enjoy the treat of winning as an underdog....have the last laugh!
It's not going to matter, they can't go to a bowl.
Believe deep down in your heart that you're destined to do great things - Joe Paterno
I personally think Ohio St will struggle more than people think next yr but they hired Urban Meyer. That is like the Broncos getting Peyton. Denver will get a ton of attention for it. Its the biggest preseason story. Meanwhile the Penn St story is more similar to Aaron Rodgers replacing Favre. The story is more about replacing the legend than it is the replacement . Most people still dont know or really care who O'Brien is despite all the excitement on the penn st boards. He is still mainly known as the guy replacing Paterno. A virtual unknown that is not thought of as a great hire nationwide. Also the Penn St story still evokes saddness on many levels. The Meyer story meanwhile is about one of the biggest coaching names in the last 20 yrs coming home to throw a piece of steak on a proud institution's black eye. Which story would you rather tell in May? Obrien is getting tons more press than he would if he took any other job and handleing it as well as could be expected.
