Just seeing what everyone's gut feeling on who will be the next commit:
I'll go with Rankin
"A bowl game ain't nothing but a vacation." - Gerald Hodges
Would be nice to get some Florida blood on the team.... hopefully he's got some friends down there too.... very few things I can imagine I'd like more than seeing a top kid from SEC (&ACC I guess too) terriitory finally choose Big 10 instead of the opposite. I'd like to see the percentages on how many the SEC gets from our territory vs. the inverse.
this year those numbers are shifting alot...OSU will certianly dip into Florida and ACC territory and we will likely as well. Michigan and Nebraska are hitting california really really hard and Nebraska is in the lead for 2 studs from there that have offers from everywhere. Also, there are far fewer players from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, that are going south this year than years past.
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
It sure sounds like we could easily have 3 or more commitments by the B&W game....Webb, Drennon, Williams, Rankin, and maybe one or two surprise guys.
That would please me greatly. Would fill a lot of "needs" with great talent and perhaps allow for the coaches to focus more on "shooting for the moon" with nationally recruited individuals and those who are on the fence. Foster - Anzalone - Averett = huge needs IMO. Foster would help ease the sting of missing on Spence last year. Need to scratch that itch somehow.
Buddy Brown IMO
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
It will be interesting to see what happens the day of the blue white game or shortly after. Even in the past we would usually get one or two kids that weekend. Lets see if we can get a couple of kids to jump on board and get the momentum building again.
I would like to see Anzalone. IF he comes back for the blue white game after all his visits, its possible he could pull the trigger if he is leaning towards us.
I saw that Ohio state and notre dame have their spring game the same day as PSU, so it will be interesting to see who AA picks
Considering that he's likely coming up for a visit to PSU the weekend before, I don't see him coming back up the following weekend. However, I hope I'm wrong on so many levels.
