I hope they change the uni.s to these i love them......i can't wait to go buy 4 of them one for each family member
I agree. A tasteful and classy redo IS a good idea. If it helps coach O'Brien sell one more good kid on Penn State I'm all for it. If it changes the conversation in a positive way, I'm all for it. The history and tradition of Penn State football was forged down through the years by the men who wore those uniforms not the uniforms themselves. Ham, Harris, Collins, Carter, Lee... The list is endless. Winning is the best revenge and it makes for the best tradition. You need good student atheletes to win. Some may not care for it but these days, to this generation of kids, "old school" is a novelty not the norm. At this point, if coach O'Brien thinks it will help him recruit and move forward, that's good enough for me.
^ THIS is exactly why they are changing the uniforms!
Dominate The State
That is a very tame change. You can still use the current uniforms for some of the bigger games IMO.

"A bowl game ain't nothing but a vacation." - Gerald Hodges
Are these the one's you are referring to?
I like how they went back to the numbers on the helmets, although I really like the plain white domes with the blue stripe. I don't think it is too shabby looking at all. Though I hope with ALL my heart that no names of individuals are on the back of the jerseys. That is one traditon besides the colors of blue and white that make us not "other schools".
I like em. Just hope that isnt a silver helmet. I could do without the stripe too.
Home uni: blue shirt, white pants
Away: white shirt, blue pants.
I would like these uniforms! I understand people want to stay "old school," but it's a new era of PSU football so let's jazz up the uniforms a bit!
BTW, PSU used to have a blue strip down the pants and the numbers on the helmets back in the 60s. So, in a way, this is old school PSU.
thank you. Should we just erase all the history of Penn State and start over? Christ.....any deviation from the plain white or plain blue uni's is a complete tragedy. The unforms at the top are putred. Why dont we just join the arena league?
I think they still are fairly plain...Basic blue and white
Our uniforms have Changed approximately once every 7 years, FYI.
what I am saying is, our uniforms is pretty much all we got left. JS, the media, and the NCAA has taken everything from us. Can we please hold onto something that links us to our rich tradition, and not cave again?
Those look like an arena football team, a CFL team at best
I am so down for these jerseys, but I could have sworn I saw these jerseys before!
tweeked, not totally changed
I just hope your kids get names on their Jersey. As a fan of another team it is very hard to know who on PSU is doing good because we are not familiar enough with their names and numbers.
surprized no mention of the shoes...My retinas are burning..
If this is truly how you feel, I really feel bad for you.
How exactly is he wrong? The plain uniforms are part of PSU's identity.
It's truly amazing how people will go along with popular opinion just because it's easy to do so, whether it be supporting changing our iconic uniforms or blindly accepting a report full of holes because it was written by an FBI director and endorsed by the goose-stepping national media.
And the idea that we need flashy uniforms to attract recruits is stupid. Winning, personable coaches, and sending players to the NFL is what attracts recruits.
Also, to suggest that uniform changes like adding and removing numbers from the helmet and adding and removing white trim from the jerseys is comparable to obnoxious blue stripes on the pants and adding names to the jersey is as laughable as Louis Freeh's "investigation."
We shouldn't try to bury our past or tear it down and try to hide it with trees.
The feeling is mutual
Not sure if you guys care about my opinion but I think those are bad*ss. I like PSU's traditional unis too but I like the new potential look.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
I really like them, they are new enough for the freshness we are looking for and they are also alittle bit of a throwback with the numbers on the helmet. I think these satisfy everyone (people who don't want change and people who want something fresh)
