Yeah, but take away one of the best coaches in CFB from that great QB and see where that lands this team.
To your post before the one quoted, I think if he leaves, the kids and coaches will know with enough time to get their bearings. Also, FSU doesn't run because of Jimbo, and I'd imagine a pretty darn good coordinator would stay behind to at least throw their hat in the ring for the HC job (similar to what happened with WVU).
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Whoops, missed the announcement ceremony episode thing apparently.
Lets dial it back chief. Do you know when CP's first year was at Boise? It was 2006. He upset Oklahoma the first day of 2007. To be honest, before that game, Petersen was an after thought. Stop it with take away one of the best coaches in CFB - he was still an unknown at that point with NO big wins. People were questioning Boise's inclusion into the BCS like you wouldn't believe.
The QB wasn't an after thought though, same with NIU's.
Just because nobody knew about him doesn't mean he wasn't one of the best in the game at that point.
And I know, so was OU and their fanbase. OU players thought they were going up against a JUCO, which was entirely their fault. FSU may fall prey to this, but this is a different scenario.
Dude, it was his first year as a head coach. He was an after thought at the time of the game. Now, no - he is one of the best in the game. There are a few similarities in this game as there was for OSU v. Boise. What he is now is immaterial for this discussion. It's about what he was at the time.
He was still a fantastic play caller and gameplanner. His first year as a coach, the team didn't skip a beat and went on to beat a far superior team on a huge national stage.
Also, get it right. Ohio State didn't play Boise, or OkieState, or Oregon State. It's OU
You pointed out what you thought we're similar, and I told you I don't agree that they are all that similar.
