I wish you had been our GM for the past decade.
Our 1st and 2nd round picks, our high profile free agent signings, and our QB decisions have been very poor. But apart from those decisions, Ralph Wilson's people have done OK:)
They haven't done a terrible job of collecting talent. But the coaching selections have been, at times, terrible. Wannstedt might have been the worst DC in Bills history.

IMO the coaching (or lack thereof) has been to blame for the whole last decade. Talent has been in and out of Buffalo, but it's never brought to full potential. Even Poz could've had a great career with competent coaching. In fact, one of the few coaches I ever liked on the staff was Stan Hixon especially due to the work he did with Stevie Johnson. Then, of course, he came here, which I really can't complain about.
Don't see either making it to 18. Cowboys will need to trade up for one of those 2

I really would just love for the Steelers to be the team that lands Mauti. They have been lacking a true leader on defense ever since Farrior retired.
Latest 7 round mock on NFL.com, and their projections for our guys...
Jordan Hill: 3rd round to the Seahawks.
Gerald Hodges: 4th round to the Seahawks.
Michael Mauti: 6th round to the Ravens.
A drinking town with a football problem.
Mauti deserves to go to a great organization (Ravens, Pats, Giants, etc). I have a feeling the Giants will take him.
Hill is a great guy, too. I spotted him at the GMan this past weekend and had a quick chat with him. Real humble guy. I sent the table he was at a round of mind erasers after I walked away. He went out of his way to come find me on his way out, thank me for the drinks, and thank me for my support as a fan. I am sure Hodges is a great guy, too. I continue to be impressed with the high level of character of our players.
...except Royer. Still upset about him sucker punching me.
I might cry if he ends up on the Ravens.
The first round tonight should really be full of fantastic drama. I think we know the Chiefs are taking one of the top two OT's but after that it is a complete crapshoot.
I find that the draft as a whole isn't nearly as much fun to watch as it used to be when it was an all day Sat/Sun affair but I'm looking forward to tonight more than any year in recent memory...of course that could have something to do with my team picking #4.
Yeah, nothing better then sitting down Saturday and just watching the whole day. They definitely screwed it up, but whatever, tonight should still be fun.
Speculation is Milner or Jordan if they stay there.
I just don't see Milliner. They actually have a solid CB stable after FA. I would love Jordan and have talked myself into Lane Johnson, Star or Ansah as well. Think its going to be one of those 4 if they stand pat at 4.
Exactly...though I know exactly why they did it. The NFL is so brilliant at turning everything into an event that draws the casual fan. Putting the 1st RD in primetime did exactly that. They know their hardcore fans (you and I among them) will show up no matter how they stage it. But yeah, I miss those weekends of binging on the NFL draft.
Yeah, I think it'll be one of the OTs. If not, Dion Jordan. I'd love Star Lotulelei. Think he has the least bust potential & will be a solid NFL player from Day 1.
I'd really be in favor of moving back if possible.
My preference as well. Hold someone up that desperately needs a corner.
I wouldn't have minded if Friday night was the first round and then rounds 2-4 were day 2 on Saturday with the final 3 on Sunday. I guess though it gives people reason to tune into ESPN and NFL network on Friday.
Yeah I hate that there's nothing on Sunday now.
Got me a bomber of Ommegang 3 Philosophers and ready to watch the draft. I am not sure if it is the lack of huge star power or not knowing what teams are going to do this year, but it seems more exciting.
Hoping for Jarvis Jones for the Steelers.
I saw a stat that there are only 4 Big 10 players in the top 100. Wow.
man ive got a really crappy feeling that the Lions might end up taking Sharrif Floyd as a BPA. and if they do, I might blow my brains out
I still don't see him falling to the Lions.
Jets have two top 15 picks...and they are still not nearly enough.
He wont get past 4 IMO unless the Eagles have him lower than Star.
As a what? Floyd won't get past the Raiders.
