I was listening to Finebaum today and Pat Forde just broke a story regarding an NCAA investigation into Trooper Taylor and Curtis Looper. Finebaum was bringing up Cam and these two along with Malazon. Looks like Gus is not going to Auburn next year.
From Yahoo! Sports: NCAA investigation into potential violations at Auburn only increases likelihood the school will soon replace Gene Chizik as coach.

Mark Emmert, NCAA Commissioner, was quoted as saying, "Nothing to see here boys. Move along now!"
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
The funniest thing about the article is that Taylor was a finalist for Assistant Coach of the Year. I had no idea that they gave those out for losing.
Finebaum was saying that Taylor, Luper, and Malazon were all in on the Cam Newton recruitment. He actually said that they pushed him to Chizik. Wonder if the Cam case will be reopenend?
Nothing to see here. They couldn't do anything with Newton that was obvious ... do you honestly think the retards in Indy can do something with this? LOL
Bet you a dollar that the coaches get hit harder than Auburn. These coaches will feel the full power of a now fully operational NCAA battle station (post October).
Miami, Chizik (not Auburn U) will feel the wrath of Emmert next.
- Auburn gets a 2 year bowl ban, fine, minor scholarship reduction.
- Chizik & staff will get slapped with massive show cause, and will never coach again.
If you are going to nail them and this is basically the second big offense they have had in the last three years (yes, I'm counting Cam Newton even though the retards couldn't figure it out), they get closer to the PSU sanctions than your idea. That is, if the NCAA and King Dickhead want to send the message they said they wanted to.
Isn't/wasn't there a LB commit from there who was thinking about visiting us???
I think that the key principle of the recent NCAA action in October is to shift risk of lost revenue TO COACHES, and AWAY from schools.
Basically, it institutionalizes the Tressel approach. Schools will pay fines, but long term hits to schools, I think will be less frequent.
Though, Miami probably gets absolutely crushed..........Just my opinion.
This can't be a NCAA violation, can it?
"You have to perform at a consistently higher level than others. That's the mark of a true professional." JVP
I wish that were the case, but in the absence of being able to punish the culprits they bring down Thor's hammer on Penn State. Given that experience, I'm not certain that this scenario holds true going forward.
I think that them giving up two bowls in a row will help Miami.. However, it seems that they have not been very cooperative... So that may even out.. But I agree, the NCAA seems to be dead serious with Miami.. I think they set an example with them with their new penalty system. Sucks for Al Golden, I really like that guy.
So basically a high school guidance counselor doctored the kid's transcript and a teacher gave him a ride to Auburn? And then the NCAA already ruled him ineligible? Is that all they got? What exactly did Auburn do wrong here?
I can't imagine much will come of this.
I know a lot of you think nevadabuck is a moron but he posted a few weeks ago that Auburn was about to go down for their recruitment of a kid named Jordan Diamond. I didnt see his named mentioned yet but another name to keep an eye on I guess.
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
If there are any lessons to be learned from the harsh PSU sanctions to any institution to come under NCAA scrutiny is to obfuscate, mislead and NOT cooperate whatsoever.
PSU paid $6.5 million for the Freeh report, made it public and cooperated openly with the NCAA only to have NCAA drop the hammer on us, using our own paid for "independent" (cough), report to kill us.
Eff Emmert, Eff Delaney, Eff the NCAA, Eff Erickson, Eff the BoT
Finebaum was mentioning that name in August along with a high school volleyball coach from Memphis being the bagman for Cam. Can't remember all the details but he stated Miss State was cooperating with the NCAA on the investigation and giving them info on Auburn.
They will sink Taylor and self impose. This was known for a while now.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
No, this can' be true becasue BOB is their next coach! What a joke....
Considering the kid came out and admitted it, even a moron like NevadaBuck could figure it out.
I didnt know that. When my brother told me what he was hearing on the buckeyes board it was news to me.
I wonder if this case will re-open the cam newton case? In my opinion the NCAA should. Trooper Taylor just looks like a walking NCAA violation.
If they re-open the Newton thing, that is the NCAA admitting it f'ed up. I can't see that. Sad thing, everyone knows Auburn bought him and got away with it.
I absolutely hope you're right and they're dead serious and make a statement. This two year investigation - by the time it's done - had better be worth the wait. The violations that are publicly known are alone worth severe penalties.
So, word is auburn called ncaa themselves. They want to pin something on gene so they can use clause to get out of contract on the super cheap. They will self impose a slap on wrist like loss of a couple of sholarships.

Watch for auburn to use this to fire Chisik and get out of the buyout. This was planned all along. He'll get 2 million to leave instead of the 8-9(not sure exactly). Taylor will end up at some other school as a "coach", but he is just a laison to the kids. The whole thing is shady as hell. They'll self impose some BS and just move on.
