Did any of USC's starters leave in the same exact situation? I don't care whether he left or not. I just appreciate the irony of his leaving his team to join a bunch of guys who didn't leave when they had the same option.
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
So promises are only suppose to be kept when the circumstances are in your favor?
What exactly does he think a promise is? Maybe next time Silas should fax the fine print of that quote to Sports Illustrated.
I'd expect nothing less from the SC folks. It's all a part of their "LA vibe".
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
I think we should never use his name. From this point forward I will only refer to him as TRADER. Example.... I hope the trader rides the bench and never sees a championship.
What's he a trader of?
Of values and loyalty it takes to be part of this team.
Whoosh! Right over the top
Oh I thought maybe a spice trader or trader of financial assets. You must mean a traitor.
Yes jackass that's what I meant.
I never look at what I type good or bad.
My prediction that no one asked for: USC doesn't even make it to the NCG. They lose to some mediocre PAC12 team like always. Redd will split carries and mostly goes unnoticed. USC beats Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Arrogant fanbase still disappointed.

So when are yinz gonna have a bonfire fueled by those #25 jerseys ya been wearin'??? THAT might get a 10 second spot on espn's pregame hype.
Private plane from a booster, 6 USC coaches present, all to lure Silas to LA. Yet we have a culture problem?
Don't forget Kiffin had to take a scholarship from a walk on, that he had just given to him. SC was at 75 scholarship needed cut one to give one to Reed.
That's speculation at this point. It may turn out to be true, but no one has had their scholly yanked yet.
LOL ... stop. Kiffin would sell his own mother if he had a better offer. It's true ... someone had theirs yanked.
Who cares? I haven't thought of Redd once since he left. Same with Brown. PSU football got a reboot a few weeks ago, and all I care about is who stayed and who joins. All that matters.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
True rck. +1..
leftcoast - I just think its good to have a historical memory of how in the greatest moment of need he turned his back on PSU. There are ramifications to that. As far as thinking about him beyond that - I excited to see what Belton and company will do - so I don't think of him either. Just as long as he knows he's not welcome back for any reason, I'm good with that.
Positive I saw a article with interview of walk on, he stated that he was upset, because Kiffin had just given him the scholarshi., He was upset, but said if it helped the team it was okay. USA article I believe.
Nope, what you saw was a walk-on say that he would be disappointed if it came to that, but he would do so to help the team. Isiah Wiley was ruled academically ineligible on Friday, so I don't think that anybody is getting their scholly pulled. Sorry.
Yay he didnt make it.

For Redd to transfer in freely, a walk-on has to lose his scholarship. But that is averted because a "student athlete" is now academically ineligible. So all is well. But according to Emmert, Penn State has the problem. #culture

Silas who? I only know of Belton, Lynch, Day and Zwinak.
