If I had to chose between the two it wouldn't even be close. I am a Michael Mauti fan!
Whats great is that everyone is noticing it.
All the commentators and media folk on Twitter are calling our Teo for his piss poor performance, I LOVE IT!
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
I've been echoing this same thing on the Steeler board I post on. Ticks me off with all the guys who want T'eo. I say F that, grab Mauti later b/c of the injuries and we've got a better LB.
I was affraid the Bills may take Teo because our LBers are the worst in the NFL. I think this game makes a pretty good statement that we (Bills) need to pass on Teo.
It will be interesting to see how much this hurts his draft stock.
Could not agree more, said the same thing to my wife. Hodges is better then Te'o too!!
If not for the knee injuries I think the rest of the nation, outside of South Bend, would agree with that. Mauti=Beast! I'd rather have him on my team than Teo.
Hodges >>> Te'o as well.

100% correct and not even close.
Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen
Does he have more missed tackles than tackles this game?
Lions fans too, I pray they don't draft this overrated goon, but knowing detroits terrible management skills they'll waste another 1st round pick on a bust
Any psu backer from the last 4 years is better than teo..
To be fair the lions have been drafting pretty well lately. If they pick teo my opinion would obviously change. All i kept thinking was man mauti would never miss that tackle.
It is amazing how good you can look when the DL's keep blockers off of you.
you guys sound insane basing this off of one game. Alabama has a handful of 1st round picks on their OL, they will make almost everyone look silly.
hands down, with 100% confidence that Mauti is better? if I were you guys I'd start applying to become NFL scouts. sure Mauti might turn out to be a tremendous pro and his chances are dimmed by a few bad knee injuries but to discredit Te'o is as much blind ND hate as it is anything else. the guy is a really, really good player who (along with the rest of his team) has a miserable night. he will likely go Top 10, maybe Top 5 for a reason.
go watch the games mauti played against alabama =better than teo!
While I agree with the OL comment and that he is a very good player and may be top a top 10 pick. I doubt he will go top 10. MLB in general rarely go that high. That being said he missed too many tackles in that game.
what site is the Steeler board posts on ?
@meyer 4 prez I'm glad Bill K and Alex G keeps it real with us, instead of getting our hopes up.
I do not see Teo going top 5. If he does it is a wasted pick. He has been projected top 15 but Top 5 is crazy
Reality check here. Te'o wasn't even among the top five best defensive players in the country, but got the invite to NYC because of his story; the adversity he faced and where he plays. If Te'o played at Colorado, SD State, or even Northwestern, we don't hear from him. Solid player, solid leader, good kid. Don't kid yourself though, if he didn't lose his grandmother and girlfriend within a 24-hour period (hated to see that) and didn't have the story crammed down our throats every week, he isn't a finalist; he doesn't win seven awards and doesn't win the Butkus. His stock dropped drastically last night.
Also, please don't bring up his seven interceptions as a possible response. 80% of those were tipped by someone else and he was in the right place at the right time.
Absolutely correct. I counted once from a highlight film.
- 4 were tipped to him, 3 of those, if I remember correctly, were WR drops.
- 2 were thrown right to him because the QB was under pressure and chucked up a prayer.
- 1 was a good read where he anticipated.
He was very, very lucky with those ints. Nothing I saw compared to the reads Mauti made on pass breakups or the 99 yarder.
All of this yes.
