Anyone at all? I've never seen a kid that deserves to run out on senior day before in my life more than Mauti.
Left knee, don't know how serious. Kid is Penn St I hope it's not serious but it didn't look good from the stands.
Nothing official from Penn State so far.

Yeah, its not looking good...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Radio guys think he's done for season
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
Assuming the worst, I would love to see him as a GA next season if no one takes him as an UDFA.
Career ending and I feel really bad for him.
Maybe he can get into coaching
Well he does have a 6th year if he'd want it. But hat getting way to far ahead right now.
Career ending? Sorry, but you're gonna have to give a source for that instead of just saying how you feel.
This is where my mind went. If he has another ACL, his career may be done. He's lost a lot of speed already, and an injury this late in the year will make it impossible for him to get drafted.
Bring him on under Vandy for a couple years. Mike was born to be a part of this game. He'd thrive, IMO.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
Yeah if this is a 3rd acl tear how is that not career ending?
IF the injury is as bad as it looks he won't be ready for the combine. Kids are a dime a dozen in the NFL and it would be a stretch to be an UDFA.
Great kid - hope he has a great future doing whatever it is he went to school for.
I agree there's a chance it is, but to come out and say it in such a matter of fact manner is a bit much, especially when nobody has any idea what happened.
It was a cheap hit too. Should have been flagged.
As a Carolina Panthers fan, I have witnessed 3 acl tears to lb Thomas Davis. He came back and has played this year but is not his former self...only player I have heard of doing it. If anyone can, Mauti can
I think calling it career ending is premature. He can clearly rehab and at the very least, a team will give him a shot as an UDFA. Repeat, at the very least.
Here is a good pic of a terrible moment.
“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
Totally agree. Until we hear otherwise, we also could assume that it is a bad sprain. I heard that the knee impacted was the one with the brace.
Great leader. Great kid. Great player. Hoping for the best.
That is NOT a terrible moment.
F the NCAA
F the BOT
That was a great moment amidst a terrible situation.
Also, seeing Hill stay right with him for a long time when he was down was nice to see as well.
Teared up a bit as soon as I saw that cart come out, big man that I am
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
I teared up too. If anyone on this team deserves to play next week, it is Mauti and Zordich. Maybe we can put Mauti in for a QB dive from the one.
If he did tear an ACL, I could see him applying for a sixth year. It would give him time to get back in playing shape and prove himself for Pro Scouts. Plus he would get more love for awards with Teo being gone. If he isn't able to recover well enough for the pros after his 6th year, he would still have gotten an extra year at a place he loves, with teammates and fans that love him.
Either way, I am sure the staff would love to take him as a GA if the pros don't work out.
Your right it is a terrible situation.
I would put down $100 bet with anyone who does not think he will get an UDFA deal. I'd possibly even put him in the draft in the later rounds.

"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
Stop with the 6th year. It isn't happening, and you have to appeal to...drumroll please...
The NCAA. U think the NCAA is going to grant him one even if it was plausible (it's not)?
Agree with all those sentiments. This is very, very sad. But I'm pretty sure that Mauti will be fine in the long run. The same qualities that got him this far will continue to equip him for future success. Maybe he can rehab for the NFL. Maybe he'll be a GA and turn into a great coach. Whatever he does, he'll be great.
In the meantime, does anyone else think that Penn State should create an annual award in Mauti's honor? I could see the Lions honoring a graduating senior each year for loyalty, determination and guts. Who else but Mauti could come back from several serious injuries, still play at All-American levels and save the program from mass defections through inspirational leadership?
