Why would the big ten go to 13 teams? Doesn't make sense.
Make it 14
did you watch the Kentucky game. MD has had back to back top 20 recruiting classes and has a top 5 pick playing center. We recruit on the national level in basketball. You really have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to basketball, stick to football.
Michigan is a garbage program in comparison to MD. MD is a top 10-15 Basketball job in the country based on the history and the sheer number of great players in MD every year at the HS ranks.
Pic Sigs are for losers.
The ACC is the natural fit for Penn State. Big time rivalries await you here.
PSU AND FSU, UVA, PITT, CLEMSON, VA TECH. These will become heated rivalries in short order. The Big has done nothing to promote big time rivalries for PSU. The BIG will always promote the old guards for the sake of conference tradition. You will never be a headliner. In the ACC PSU is a star from the onset and the potential rivalries are there for the taking
Funny you say the BIG will promote the "Old Guards" as this is exactly why UMD is happy to leave the ACC. All they do is go down on the Carolina schools...UMD was a charter member of the ACC, but they don't reside in North Carolina....
Maryland won a national championship as a member of the ACC. Maryland basketball is a product of their ACC affiliation. I am sure that the entire nation is waiting patiently for an epic showdown between Maryland and Nebraska or northwestern on the basketball court. Come on down fellas, the ACC is your real home.
You kids can't afford us.
Your conference is getting raided so deal with it. I can only imagine how irate PSU fans would be if Delany gave a sweat deal to ESPN just to keep his son at Raycomm in business.
Case in point. One old guard "Ohio state" is protected. PSU is made a mockery of by the BIG as the BIG piles on. Did the BIG kick Ohio State when they were down. They had no problem adding to PSU'S woes when you were down. The ACC is a safe landing spot for PSU, and the league and it's fans want you...
I'm not sure affordability is the issue. I just believe PSU deserves better than the lack of respect they get from the BIG..
Aw that's cute. Talk to us when you have the money, that's what this is about.
Ohio State is protected how exactly? and what exactly would you have done if you were the commish of the BIG? With the perception the entire world had of PSU after JS's crimes, you would risk the PR of the conference? Or let the NCAA do what they are going to do with or without the BIG's blessing? The BIG is a Huge business, the ACC a good ol boys network, big difference. Once other schools see how much money UMD is getting, and they look at themselves in a conference that starts and ends with UNC and Duke, they will be begging to join the BIG as well.
Facts don't have to be cute. The fact is that many of your fans are disgusted by the treatment PSU receives in the BIG. And, also feel that there are better natural rivalries in the ACC. Let's face it, the BIG has done very little for PSU. I can not even think of a real "rivalry" in that conference for PSU that has tradition and the attention of the nation. PSU deserves better...
They gave us a lot more money. College sports are big business. PSU needs the cash. You have it, we'll listen. The B1G has it, ACC doesn't.
Video for entrance theme.
FSU won 10 straight league titles in football and last year won the regular season and tournament title in basketball. Duke and UNC were beaten along the way.
I like the guys style. He gets an upvote from me. Could it be the ACC's version of RutgersAL?
Has to be. I mean I agree with people who want PSU to the ACC, in almost everything that really doesn't matter it makes sense.
All it takes is the ACC's affiliate member to say we are in for football and the money is there.
They won't. When that member is ready to join a conference it'll be headquartered in Indianapolis.
I agree that money is a very important issue. I am speaking more from a fans perspective. I also think that as a headliner in the ACC could also help perception and revenue. PSU and FSU in a Thursday night nationally televised showdown would be a huge revenue maker. There are other potential rivalries that could produce similar results. I'm just thinking outloud guys. I want PSU to be as successful as possible..
There are so many levels on which PSU cannot abandon the B1G. MD and RU are member institutions of the AAUA. Outside of sports AAU is huge for other B1G member institutes.
I'd love to see PSU bolt to the ACC for a lot of reasons, mostly based on Football. But the Money and all else reveals the the B1G is the best fit for PSU and PUS is a great fit for the B1G.
20 years in-conference now. We're not about to go anywhere else.
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
WE don't do Thursday night specials though.. That is for Pitt and MAC schools. I do like your energy though.
Thursday night foootball? Hahahahaha
That shit is for conferences who can't draw on Saturdays and need their own night with no real competition. We don't need that charity. Shit's for Pitt.
