Lattimore just got tackled on a high-low hit by two TN defenders, and his right leg was bent in a way you don't want to see. Gruesome! This rivals the Joe Theisman broken leg hit...it might even be worse!
Looks like he totally blew out his right knee. Sad to see the kid get hurt again...hope he gets better fast.

Dan Mason from Pitt had one of the worst i've ever seen....
This was bad for Lattimore though...

Marcus Lattimore's career is over. His knee was just obliterated...you're looking at 2 years of rehab and multiple surgeries.
This sucks. He is a great kid.
Hard not to agree with this. Worst I've ever seen. So sad
That was a crushed knee
PENN STATE FOREVER
Dislocated, crushed...he will need complete knee reconstruction, and multiple surgeries.
There is nothing about what I saw that gives me any indication that it's as simple as a knee dislocation.
i agree.... When there is a dislocation, there is more than likely ligament damage as well...ACL and/or MCL in this case.
He'll be back. He'll take a redshirt next year and work hard, but he'll be back. The notion of career ending injuries is a bit spurious in today's game, as surgery and rehabilitation technologies/techniques are so advanced.
The biggest hurdle for him will be mental. He'll have to learn to trust himself.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
I hope it's not the case, but that looked like ACL, PCL, MCL, and whatever CL's are in there.
I just hope they got him out of there quickly: anyone remember the kid from I think San Jose State thet blew out his knee about 10 years ago? By the time they got him to the hospital they had to amputate because the popliteal artery had severed as well. I wish the kid the best--that was gruesome. Worse than Napoleon McCallum's (Raiders about 18 years ago for anyone who doesn't know). I'm a PT and cover 4 high schools in Western PA and thank God injuries like that haven't happened to my kids!
Haven't seen and don't want to.
I hate to see that kind of injury.
I still think worst I've ever seen was Napolean McCallum on a Monday night game. Feel awful for Lattimore, seems like a good kid.
You really don't...it's worse than advertised. Nothing positive about it...phenomenal kid who doesn't deserve one, much less a second, injury of this nature.
Re: McCallum...That is still the worst. It nearly severed his artery and killed him on the field. Supposedly, there was a 95% chance that he'd lose his leg but he didn't.

Agreed. He and his family were class acts when we recruited him back in 2010.
Here is a link, but not for the squeamish. Nobody deserves to endure an injury like this. Stay strong Marcus.
Wow, I feel bad for that kid. He has had a previous knee injury before. I wish him a safe and speedy recovery.
Wow... Watching the video literally makes me sick in my stomach... Hate seeing those kind of injuries... I hope for a safe and speedy recovering... Heck of a running back!
