Penn State M Hockey @PennStateMHKY
4-3 (FINAL) #PennState wins a wild one at Greenberg Ice Pavilion over UAH. Yanis with the game-winning goal! #WeAre
We are an average college hockey team this year, which at this point is pretty remarkable. Just a great job by Guy, his staff and the players.
As this season winds down, I get more and more anxious for our first year in the Pegula Ice Arena next year. I called the NLC yesterday to put my down-payment on my set of tickets in the new rink. Really anxious to see who we open up the new arena up with. It'll be an electric atmosphere regardless.

While I think Guy has done a wonderful job, and we are better than I thought we would be, it's still a stretch to call us even an average hockey team. Despite our big wins against Vermont, Ohio State, and Michigan State, overall we weren't that good.
There are 59 teams playing D1 hockey and most of the ranking systems have us right in the low to mid 50s - that's not average.
Counting games through Friday night, we are 50 in the RPI and 54 in the KRACH ratings.
Yeah, I think it's more accurate to say that we are a below average team that has shown glimpses of its potential to grow.
No offense, but an average DI hockey team doesn't lose two to Division III opponents and American International. There is promise here without question and Guy's knowledge of the game and his recruiting ability is off the chart. He will accomplish good things here and with continued development of the program, I can see great things coming in the next decade. It might not happen next year or the next, but its a process.
I will be interested to see how they fair on the road in Madison for two to wrap up the season. The Badgers aren't playing like Wisconsin, the one I knew, but it will prove to be the toughest test yet this year.
American International beat 21-3-4 Quinnipiac on the road. Every team can have their night.
Regardless, I understand your point. When your schedule is dotted with a few lower-level teams that 'have their night', there's a long way to go.
