I hope this (quite attractive) AG brings a freaking sledgehammer to work each and every day. She has a lot of digging to do and I expect a lot from her. I think she will need to crack some heads to get to the Guvna, but it seems she has very strong support from the voters to bring him down.
Ms. Kane, Bring it.
My hopes are quite low of anything happening it regards to PSU. I think she ran out the PSU stuff to help get elected, Knowing Freed would never go after Corbet because of party, and if he did it would take HUGE balls and be committing political suicide. Going after the big three at PSU is what the people wanted to hear. I hope she does bring the hammer and holds people responsible but I just highly doubt it.

Corbett can't understand why she focused on him during the campaign. Amazing. Either he really is clueless, or is so arrogant that he really doesn't care how inappropriately he's governed. I firmly believe it's the latter.

She needs to let Corbett lie in the weeds for a while and go after The 2nd Mile and follow their money trail. Corbett, the slime he is might be tough to get. However, I think the folks over at TSM will open up the Corbett case.
I have no idea who is guilty that we don't already know about, but I'm certain there are more. Corbett doesn't need to be the focus, the entire thing needs to be looked at, including him.
She's foreal about going after Corbett. I met her and we talked. Big fan
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Be interesting to see how she handles the Curley/Shultz trials and the new charges brought against them and Spanier - the timing of this just also seems interesting as it came at a point when Corbett reached the realization that his canditate was going to lose and he wanted Kane to inherit a mess when she took office.
the bind she may find herself in is prosecuting Spanier. His legal team is arguing that the charges are political and it's part of a conspiracy. So while she is prosecuting against this, she herself will be investigating potential political motives and conspiracy. what a mess indeed....
Yeah typical big talker she will fall into place and conform like the rest of them. These politicians are a total joke. Cant wait till the nations debt hits 20 trillion!!!
Care to elaborate? Feel free to PM me.
You won't have to wait long for the 20 trillion.
Care to share? Would love to hear what she said to you. If you don't want to post on here, please PM me.
With the dems taking over Pennsylvania I find it hard to believe she will fall in line.
Kind of off topic but how does Spanier get a purgery charge if he never spoke to the grand jury?
Yeah the Dems have done remarkable jobs on Pa and its cities lol. Thats why outside of pittsburgh people are leaving in droves. The NEPA area in particular led by Dems is bankrupt. How about forcing lazy people to get off jand outs and work, novel idea.
He did testify to the GJ... Apparently though Cynthia Baldwin never told him what the scope of the Sandusky investigation was so he was thrown for a loop on the stand.. Curley/Spanier/Schultz all may walk on a technicality because Cynthia Baldwin misrepresented them in front of the GJ
I sense a lot of people voted for her for the wrong reasons, holding a grudge over what happened wont change anything. Grow up Peter Pan, Count Chocula!
Isn't she the one who completely lied about things in her campaign?
Said she tried somewhere near 3,000 cases, but it ended up being only 24?
I'm pretty sure it is her. My campaigns professor brought this race up specifically as how NOT to run a campaign and look like an ass. It may not be her, but if it is, I'd be shocked if she did anything worthwhile.
EDIT: Turns out she supported Corbett too. Both candidates seem like real winners to me.

Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Her statement was to how many cases she prosecuted. Most prosecuted cases are not tried, as plea bargains usually result.
Looked into it a bit deeper, and you're right. However she wasn't lead prosecutor for "most" of them, whatever the hell that means.
As for the other candidate, how on earth do you expect to win a race for Atty. Gen. if you haven't taken the bar in the state you're running in, and haven't tried any cases?
She was endorsed by Bill Clinton... I think that even without the PSU vote she still would have won.. I'll take her over Freed, who ran a nasty campaign and is a Corbett stooge.. If she takes down Corbett for political reasons, I'm good with that... And I'm a Republican
What can happen is that the storyline has to start to be changed.
Penn State was the reason for all this, it created him and covered him up. No ... Jerry Sandusky was the reason and lots of people (Centre County DA, Child and Youth Service, High Schools, Parents, family, Associates, TSM, etc.) all did not see what he was and what he was doing. If it was 25 victims, most before the PSU incident in 2001, then wow did a lot of folks not come forward or put this together. And it did take 3 years to build a case, so how do they expect people who do not suspect it to really put it togther.
So start to get the real discussion out there .. as I do believe the problem is the way the Govenor spun it. Was it spun to protect those others who need to be investigated or spun to take the heat off them and let PSU cover the bill for them as they knew it would be very messy otherwise?
And really I do want to see what Spanier, Curley and Shultz knew ... and how/when the news of 2008 and the investigation got to them and how that played out. I do believe they had responsibility that if they realized they made bad decisions, to come forward and assist in the investigation at that point.
So let's get the full story out there and see where the chips fall ... that is what she might be able to do ... or she might just be a BS politician?
You are a complete effing TOOL! Go troll somewhere else!
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
A dem won the AG slot. Reps still control all three branches of our State gov't.
I don't really follow politics very closely, so maybe this doesn't mean much. I know as far as lawmaking goes the reps still have control, but they were making a big deal on the news about all the other elected positions in the state being dems. They also said it may foreshadow future elections.
I took my 2 year old daughter into the booth with me. I voted for Obama but let her choose the rest. She went libertarian for AG
