-It's time to let Lynch play. I don't understand why they even brought him or Lewis on the trip. The two of them sat by themselves on the bench opposite of the field PSU was playing on at the time. They were basically on their own island.
-A lot of people commented on the open receivers downfield last week that MM didn't see. That wasn't present today.
-Speed is a major issue on this offense. Day is dreadfully slow. There were some decent holes and imo Belton would have made a 14 point difference today. There were some opportunities on the edge, but the backs are just so slow.
-Speaking of speed, MM is so dreadfully slow too. PSU doesn't necessarily need MRob back there, but having Bench made a big difference. I know Bench didn't have great stats, but I felt much more potential for a big play with him. Some UVA fans I was with were happy that MM came back, they didn't like Bench's versatility at all.
-I've never been a big Kersey fan and I further that sentiment today. Despite the drops, ARob is clearly the best receiver on this team.
-Kyle Carter was majorly underutilized today. Missed an opportunity there.
-Kenney impressed me some today. Carter/Robinson/Kenney should be the 3 receiving threats out there.
-I like the playcalling with one clear exception. I don't understand why Zordich leaves the field on 3rd and short and we go to the gun. Why? I wish someone would answer that for me.
-Some quick non-game thoughts. PSU very well represented. The PSU fans around me knew a lot about PSU football, knew the backups, it was a very pleasant experience in that aspect. UVA fans were very receptive and besides the result was a very good experience. PSU fans outnumbered UVA in the free parking lots imo.
-I'd start Bench the rest of the season. Give him an opportunity to learn the offense. Comparing him to our other true frosh starter (Bolden). Bolden was always very mechanical, Bench just has the gamer mentality. The team needs that and his speed. Yes, I believe MM is the better QB right now, but I rather have Bench, his versatility and higher ceiling/big play potential.
-I thought Dukes as okay, nothing spectacular. If we had a decent RB they could have rushed for 100 yards today.
-Run defense was spectacular and the forced turnovers was a great site.
-Time for Amos to go to safety. He's probably the second best tackler on the team (Mauti) and Obeng-Agyapong (which the UVA announcer didn't attempt to pronounce haha) and Fagnano are the weak link of this team. Davis and Morris are fine at the corners. Maybe start getting Lucas some snaps.
-Linebackers looked good. The defensive line continued to struggle to get pressure this week until the second half. Looks like there confidence rose with a couple plays and they started playing better. Good to see them get better and not wear down this week.
-Kicking....not going there.
-Free parking for tailgating. Very interesting concept to me.
-PSU dominated this game. Devastating to lose a game like this.
-Didn't hear any derogatory comments today.
anyone notice big boy smith went down again in the second game in a row from cramping, big fan of fitz but to much cramping going on
Agree with most of it, except about McGloin. For the first time, I actually want him to play. Bench is a year away at least. And I hope they start to give PJ more reps to get ready for next year so that it is a true competition (competition makes everyone better IMO). Belton not out there is the difference in the game. We HAVE to beat Navy. Period.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Question for those not at the game. Did Wartman get hurt? I know he made the trip, but when I looked for him in the second half I couldn't find him.

It wasn't cramping. Ankle/foot injury I believe.
I think he did. Sean said he was going to the lockeroom with McGloin before the half was over.

Wasn't cramping. And I wouldn't put crampin on Fitz anyways, kids have to hydrrate on their own. Coaches can't be there all the time shoving water and gatorade down their throats.
Would like the answer to this as well. Especially on a day like today where it seemed like we could just line up and pick up a couple yards when needed.

There has to be a legitimate reason why Lynch isn't playing. What that is I'm not pretending to know but I doubt that BOB would keep him on the sidelines if he thought he could help the team win games.
Dominate The State
bench in the game had me really excited

I have never rooted for a team as much as I am rooting for Purdue and Syracuse right now... Hate ND and hate USC... Syracuse has a chance...
Damn. ND is gonna win this...
Yeah Wartman went to the locker room two different time. He didn't look hurt either time. He was running fine might be a stinger, I'm not sure
