So Zig just send out a "series of apologies" on his website... and somehow looks even more like an ass in doing so. He basically said:
-Sorry to victim 2 and the victim advocacy groups for releasing a name... but he insists he was right in doing so.
-Sorry to his supporters for not being able to get their message out there effectively... but the mean media and Scott Paterno railroaded him and he was helpless
-Sorry to SANDUSKY'S FAMILY AND REPRESENTATIVES for causing more pain to them
-Sorry to the people seeking the truth for "not pulling off a miracle".
WTF!?!??!??!?!?!??!?!??!?!??!?!??????!?!? I don't even know what to say....
He's so smart
That's about the best apology you can expect from him. Surprised we got that much.
It's sickening that he will basically tell V2 to go F himself in his "apology" and then get on his knees and beg for forgiveness from Sandusky's family and lawyer Joe. That's just warped.
Sucks because he did bring up good questions and points during the last 16 months. Now he just looks like a complete buffoon. I think he needs to take some time off to collect his thoughts and then continue...
Then again, not many people outside of PSU was listening to him before. He did a good job getting Penn Stater's back on the hunt for finding the truth after the Freeh Report, but the only things that will make a real difference is the legal proceedings for Curley/Schultz/Spanier and BoT reform/elections.
I think at this point in time, all the answers lie with Curley and Schultz. The Paterno's did a great job with their reports... the message is at least out there that Freeh jumped to conclusions based on little to no evidence. All that matters now, in terms of PSU is finding out what MM told Curley and Schultz in their meeting. It doesn't matter what really happened or what MM really saw... just want he told them. We won't find that out until the trials, and that may not even occur (because of the Baldwin investigation).
Having wackjobs get on national TV and use a Sandusky interview as "proof" as to what happened and then turn around and attack a victim only does nothing but harm.
This. He had good info. Problem is he's a wacko that botched this whole f'in thing.
