Looks like JZ will be on Piers Morgan at 9 pm Monday night, potentially with Sara Ganim as well.

Stole this from the twitter thread.
Scott Paterno @ScottPaterno 1h
Why would we oppose Ziegler's analysis if it credibly exonerated Dad? We oppose it b/c it seeks to do so with a false narrative. (1/2)
Scott Paterno @ScottPaterno 1h
A false narrative in support of JVP is no better than Freeh's false narrative condemning him - truth is the only narrative we endorse. (2/2)
I'm now dreading Monday. I'm all for a fight to clear PSU and lessen/take away sanctions, but I'm worried JZ is going to look like a fool and do more damage than good on national TV. I'm assuming the false narrative is weak threads of fact going to an unsubstantiated conclusion or an outright lie from JS?
I'm a little concerned as well but realize that Scott is a bit wacky sometimes. He often gives off the impression he speaks for the whole family but sometimes he doesn't. It wasn't Scott that the Paternos sent to the Today show a month ago. There was a reason for that. If Jay makes public comments about the situation similar to Scott's I'll be more disappointed.
I have zero doubt that the Paterno's as a whole are with Scott. This is not going to be good. I expect a Freeh-esque conclusion on Monday.
The national stage is the bigger concern for me. The You Tube stuff JZ has done is to a limited audience, this time it's a big stage and if he comes off as a homer crackpot he will do much more harm than good. He would be seen as a prime example of a football culture disciple glorifying PSU football, on national TV.

Anyone have a clue what this false narrative, as Scott calls it, might be?
"You can take bowl games and you can take external things from people, but you can't take a warrior's heart."
I am guessing Joe did more than was reported...
The Paterno idea is he was fooled.
PENN STATE FOREVER
No idea, but since the interview includes JS clips edited by JZ my guess would be he's somehow using JS to show an alternate theory?
This and probably that not only did Paterno do more but nothing happened to victim #2 anyway. Solve along. I don't think Jerry saying nothing happened will do much to away me.

Paterno Family statement: "The release of the audio recording of Jerry Sandusky is a sad and unfortunate development."
Onward State @OnwardState 1m
Cont: "Releasing a recording.. nearly a year after he was found guilty, is transparently self-serving and yet another insult to the victims"
Onward State Feed @OnwardStateFeed 35s
The Paternos released a statement on the Sandusky audio tape that will be played on the Today Show this morning. http://onward.st/15JB0gw
I'm not sure what's in the statement but it apparently has the Paterno family really pissed. Interesting because it is being portrayed as something that is supposed to exonerate Joe.

Dominate The State
Can someone please give the details of that clip here, as and when, they get to hear it. Appreciate it!
They definitely had to put out a statement before the interview aired. Sandusky is such a sad and pathetic man.

"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
For anyone interested, here is the link to the show:
I actually feel bit sorry for Ziegler. From the interview, it's clear he's lost his composure. IMO, he's been courageous and done very good work, but it might benefit him to step aside for a bit a collect himself. More people will listen to a sober, dispassionate view of the facts than someone they can easily dismiss as a nut. Also hope he and the Paternos make amends.
The article that he posted on his website about his interview with Sandusky is disturbing. He basically shows compasion for JS and appears to believe anything JS tells him because it fits his side of the story. He even contradicts himself... first by saying:
"As for Sandusky’s overall demeanor and credibility, I must confess that I was impressed. He comes across as incredibly sincere and so remarkably unpolished that the notion that he could have been a super-slick master manipulator (one who somehow couldn’t even manage to properly answer the Bob Costas “are you sexually attracted to young boys?” question) seems almost absurd."
and then conceding:
"For lack of a better way to put it, my BS detector, which is usually incredibly reliable, remained silent for the vast majority of the interview. This means that he is either the greatest liar and manipulator that I have ever run across (which is certainly possible), or there is something else going on here that is contrary to the public perception of his crimes."
He's grasping... and he looks lost. I think he has too much information in his head and he is getting lies and truths mixed together to fit what he wants to prove.

Yeah I don't know what his end game is with Sandusky? It's almost like he wants to put out there Sandusky might be innocent, but is trying to tip toe around it and afraid to go all in.
