I also heard John Ziegler will be on the show also. This might not go too well for Penn State, No one will believe a word Sandusky says and though I like and respect John and his work, the public will not take the person from "Framing Paterno" seriously..
ugh. Not sure how I feel about this. If there isn't anything new/groundbreaking coming out of this, I'm afraid it's not going to help anything.
1.) Who's the idiot who invited him on the show?
2.) Who's the other idiot that is allowing this?
Maybe the courts or some high-ranking officials can step in and block this....
What's the purpose of putting the criminal on national TV other than to BASH PSU? Someone needs to silence the criminal.
It's always about $$$, whether directly or indirectly.
Can you help me out here, too much tv watching the last few days. How would having a criminal on tv involve money?
Based on the tweet below... I have to think Zeigler has some good news...
No idea why JS would be one there though
John Ziegler@Zigmanfreud18 Mar
Those who feel, understandably that I've been teasing 2 much with next step of my plan, it seems that next Monday morning all will be clear.
"People ask me why I stayed here so long, Look around, Look around, I stay here because I love you all" R.I.P. Joe - 12/21/1926-01/22/2012
Ratings alone would be an answer here. Not saying that is the answer, but an answer.
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
It makes news, it makes people watch....
You just know he's gonna be in a prison issued PSU wind jacket just to piss us all off.

That's the only reasoning I could come up with, but I think at the this point people have had enough. Both penn-staters and non-psu people are sick of hearing about it.
If Ziegler was on alone, that's one thing, but to also have JS on ....forget it.
I haven't been impressed with anything Ziegler has produced. He keeps talking about "proof," but it's always just conjecture (I admit that I agree with it), but I can't get psyched about anything he says he's going to produce.
I hate the freaking media.
That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!
I "Think" (cannot confirm) Sandusky will not be on the show live. JZ will be on showing a video of an interview he did with Sandusky. It is rumored that JZ also interviewed Dottie.
sorry, but nothing good will come of having this POS on TV...I don't care what he has to say. We have all seen much more respected individuals/professionals come out and try to enlighten the general public of the actual facts surrounding things. Yet, it seems like people are not interested in reexamining their initial assumptions...media included. This is not a good thing.
Not 100% sure but I think it'll be taped. I suspect that it'll be an edited version.
NBC's Today Show will air an interview with Jerry Sandusky on Monday.
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
And here is this. Zig was replying to someone questioning why NBC is showing this interview.
John Ziegler @Zigmanfreud 9m
@awfulannouncing because there is new information which puts Penn State/Joe Paterno's response in very different light. Its about the truth.
There may be new information but who is going to believe it?
People in the mainstream will just push this aside and say that Sandusky is just trying to cover Paterno on this because the damage he caused.
Somehow as it always has been, the media will spin this monday interview as Joe's fault.
This. The narrative is set. Anything pro-Penn State or Pro-Paterno is dismissed, anything anti-PSU or anti-PSU is accepted as absolute truth no matter the source.
It'd be best if Ziegler spent his time and energy helping get rid of the BOT that has fought against the alumni and our own University. Get the BOT or to acknowledge the flows in the Freeh report would be a huge first step.
As it stands now, Frazier won't even accept that there MIGHT be flaws in the Freeh report. Frazier is a Harvard educated lawyer, he's no dummy, which leads me to believe he knows there are flaws in the report but won't admit as such. The question is why. What's making him stand in support of such a flawed document? That's the truth I want to know.
Jerry Sandusky is like a bad case of herpies...the gift that keeps on giving. UGH!
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
I think he has no choice in the matter other than to die fighting for the Freeh Report. If he were to come out now and say the report he commissioned and the University paid Millions for was flawed he would be replaced immediatley.
if there is evidence behind these "facts" i would think it would help in the lawsuit against the NCAA. i don't care anymore what the national perception is of PSU, i only care about getting those sanctions reduced. The team has been punished enough for something they didn't have a hand in, justice needs to be served..
Not liking where this is going, but probably best to keep an open mind as there are some potential things that JS could shed light on that would possibly be positive.
Whether it's believable or is worth the obvious damage of just having him in the public eye is very debatable though.
I am not sure if JS could ever say anything other than "I did it" that the people would believe. I mean what can he say in these interviews considering he still states he is innocent. He continues to state he didn't do it and the rest of the story is a wash, there is no cover up, there was no secret, etc....
But as long as he is in the appeals process, etc he isn't even going to come close to telling people he did it.
Therefore I will be shocked to hear anything that we haven't heard yet.
I predict this:
JS says innocent.
Nothing happened the night MM saw whatever he saw and he has the backing of the kid.
He is not sure what was told to Joe but Joe never said a word to him.
In the end there is nothing to hide because he didn't do it.
I thought his appeal was denied? is there another appeal that can be filed?
believability is certainly always going to be an issue, but consider this for example. People have been hinting that PSU did actually report it to CYS or that TSM did after PSU informed them (not DPW), which is appropriate. CYS would then have the responsibility to open the investigation and report to DPW. Unfortunately, I believe these records are only kept for a set amount of time so there is not a paper trail of a report being made. Schultz testified that he believed CYS was informed and the prosecution actually lied to him during the preliminary hearing by telling him that no other agency was involved in the 1998 investigation. Schultz responded in shock and questioned their suggestion that the entire 1998 incident was handled by the PSP. He specifically qualified it by asking, "in it's entirety" and was told "yes". As we know, CYS was absolutely involved in the 1998 investigation so this line of questioning makes absolutely no sense.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this line of questioning from the prelim because it's clear as day that the prosecution was incorrect and made Schultz look like an idiot for thinking CYS was involved, when he was absolutely right. This is important because it started when he claimed the 2001 incident was handed over to the "same organization" than handled the 1998 investigation. The prosecution made it seem like that was only the PSP and made Schultz look really stupid as the administrative head of the PSP. Also, as we know, the PSP were not involved in the 2001 incident making him look even worse and appearing like a liar. So it seemed like he was claiming that it was investigated by the PSP, but didn't know the name of the PSP based on the prosecutions line of questioning and incorrect facts. What he was really saying is that he thought it was reported to CYS/DPW/CPS (he didn't know the specific name of), who were the same people that investigated the 1998 incident along WITH the PSP.
but I digress... the point being is that Jerry could have information about CYS's knowledge of the 2001 incident that supports this theory. Again, it will be an issue of believability, but I'm not sure there is a clear motive for him to claim he got a call from CYS or that TSM called CYS and someone from CYS talked with him about it without making a formal report (aka, a cover up at CYS/TSM in 2001 instead of PSU)
