Its almost humorous how many times the word 'free' was used in the TaxAct commercial used to open the present and final segment.
Back to the action.....
Golic just won't give up 1998...
only in Freeh and Golic's mind does Liability issue equal Jerry might be raping little kids.
Golic's been real quiet the past few minutes.
Jay is doing a very good job of explaining mis perceptions...very good.....and Mike and Mike are doing a very good job of letting him speak. This is very good. One example is the perception of Jerry's presence around the football program.....
Great job Jay
Golic is really focusing on '98. The handwritten note to Jerry for his retirement that mentions no allowance for Second Mile children being allowed on the facility due to liability. Golic says "many people will put 2 and 2 together". Quite a stretch...but in hindsight, those that stretch for a living can make a connection.
As a corporate health manager for 16 years, my life was liability. "Bring Your Children to Work Day" was one of the top 3 liability days of the year. Is there a story in Joe's note? As it stands by business, no.
Golic is pressing. Jay is returning serve.
Liability notes were current to the University not allowing current players work out due for the draft to liability.
Golic is an ass. Greenly is being fair but has not said much since golic is trying so hard to shoot holes.
Clemente's report really provides a sourced backbone to Jay's humanistic stance.
Golic is being very rough on Jay, and keeps referring back to '98. Jay is doing a tremendous job with answering, shooting the facts, and staying very professional. Greeny is being more fair of the two.
Jay's closer was strong. He brought some Kierkegaard. "Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards."
It is also a known fact that Joe hated the kids being around the program. He saw them as a distraction. Him wanted to prevent 2nd Mile children from hanging around the facility should not be a surprise to anyone who knows that little tidbit of information.
The segment is still going so they have given more time.(just ended) Jay is going to be at ESPN all day. No idea if he will be on other shows. Personally I am hoping he flattens Stephen Ass Smith.
now he won't be since Jays gone he can make a assertions on uncontested
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
Yeah, but i think we need Golic to do that...because that is what most people have built their opinions on. Let Golic "attack", he is representing the other side...the important part is how well Jay responded...and boy did he. In my opinion, Golic did more good than bad...and only because Jay is very well prepared.
Haha, I think Golic's pissed.
As most know I am not a jay fan but he is doing a great job this morning in the interview.
Golic was biting his tongue.
Good finish by Jay with the quote.....Now Golic can just go off, spouting more opinion without fact so he can make the narrative how he likes again. As if he completely missed the point of what Jay finished with.
I agree. The worst thing that could have happened is for Jay to go in there and just state his views without being challenged.
Golic isn't too hard to own. He's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.
Thanks for the updates folks!
I'm glad to hear how well this is going.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
Agree. It looks on TV like Jay peed in his Cheerios.
Jay was fantastic. So articulate. Well thought out responses. He should have been on OTL yesterday. This is what the OTL segment should have been. Great job Jay.
Golic is saying he still thinks Paterno knew in 1998. "Someone was arrested on his staff and he didn't know? C'mon". Someone please tell me who was arrested.
Golic did not listen to a thing Jay said. He seems predetermined to go with his first thoughts.
FACT: Golic didn't read the report. Especially, the Clemente report.
