If winning was easy even losers would do it.
Thank you. Jay is well spoken and level headed. I hope they let him talk his points.
He's going to be on for half an hour so he should get his chance.
He is already in studio getting ready so things should run on time....not that I thought lateness would be an issue being Joes kid ha.
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
Listening to Mike & Mike's lead up to Jay and it is interesting how the narrative is changing. Its finally moving towards, well its obvious that mistakes were made, but it doesn't seem like a coverup.
M&M still believe the BOT signed off on the sanctions.
And Jay just roasted Golic with the coach comment...as Golic asserts that Joe was called coach by everyone...and he directly said that Curley didn't say that. Interesting enough, I think Greeny has been much more fair and balanced.
Sorry Lang, I am not a good transcriber or I would offer!
So far, though Jay has sounded good and address questions clearly. He pointed out that other than Freeh's claim...there is no evidence that Joe knew of 1998 (brought up the fact that state law required that Joe would not be informed of it). He also mentions testimony that others said Joe had no knowledge of 1998.

They don't view the BOT and anything else at Penn State University as possibly being separate
Hard ro remember many referring to Joe as coach. I think Bradley did at times but moat used Joe....especially those around Joe a lot it seems
Yeah and Golic was VERY adamant that Joe was known as "the coach." Sometimes, I wonder where people get this?
I know in the media is a giant faux pas to call a former/current coach as anything but coach. However, that doesn't make it accurate on an individual basis.
This drove me crazy. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT PEOPLE! I wanted to call and tell them....this is completely wrong.
I am really glad Jay is on here today. I think he is making a really good, accurate representation of everything.
I personally think that the most important point in the first segment was how Jay says Dick Thornburg (prior governor) states how reporting to Joe the subject of the investigation in '98 was against State law. He did not know and multiple parties have testified to that fact. Plus Clemente said that JS was in the top 1% of all the predators he ever investigated.

Jay is owning Golic.
Perceptions about Sandusky's appearance at practice, away games and bowl games are being shattered by Jay.
Jay will be back after the commercial. Jay is being a solid representative for the family.

Wow Erickson approved Sandusky to have an office on campus
Throw in the myth of Jerry's office in Lasch.
Misconceptions about Sandusky being around. Was never at practices, did not go to bowl games with the team, away games, or on the sidelines at home games. None of that is true. Jay would only rarely see Jerry if he would go work out early at 6:30 AM and Jerry would be alone, work out, and leave. His office was on another building and we never saw him. That was approved through the provost, now the president, Rodney Erickson.
Per jay: Jerry's retirement package was approved by the provost at the time, and current president, Rodney Erickson
2 things as they ask Jay to stay
1. Jay is clearing some things up that have become "fact" to much of the public through repetitive assertion.
2. The Mikes are at least letting him get it out
Jay is killing it. For all the ripping I've done on him in the past, this guy legitamelty loves this school and is totally setting the record straight on a lot of stuff. Just killed these rumors of Sandusky still being around the football program after 2001.
Sorry Wonka. It takes me forever to type on my phone.
