Following his visit he had some great things to say about us and said we might break into his top 5. Looks like we are not even close to that top 5. He mentions almost 10 schools in this interview and we aren't one of them. Maybe he just forgot about us, but I'd think if we were up there he'd at least mention us.
Shocking. Had nothing but good things to say about his visit. Of course, show me one kid who said "it stunk" "I didn't like it" "I won't be back" or anythng remotely close. Que the gushing.
Da'Shawn Hand said he didn't like his visit to OSU.
But yeah, I'm not really that surprised. When, right after the high of the visit, a kid says the school "might" be in his top 5 and he hasn't even visited any other schools in his top 10...he's not coming.
In before New Era
. I think I like Hand a lot more now.
Agree with the rest though.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
But some no name writer/blogger predicted he was coming here to play both ways!
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
Even Northwestern got a mention
I feel like Shanker is a PSU hater though. Every time he interviews prospects he fails to mention us... I dont think we are going to be in it for Peppers, but I dont really care for Jared Shanker... I remember him consistently asking AB and Hack if they would back out on us... To which both said, "Psh. Get a life Shanker"
WE ARE! And we will always be...
He did bring up a few schools, but also asked Peppers are there any other schools that stick out and he didn't mention us. Don't think it was Shankar that held him back from mentioning us.
He's just another Urban fanboy.

Not necessarily here, but in general hes anti-PSU. You'll see. But its ESPN. Even Moyer isn't a huge fan boy for us there. The whole thing is just "eh, its Penn State" there. I stay away from ESPN for recruiting info. I don't expect us to be in the end with him, but I find it interesting that he didn't ask about us, when "Nittany Nation" ran two stories on it. Just saying, Shanker can go somewhere with his dopey monotone voice.
This times a million. I think you can see the outline of his balls on Shanker's chin.
I'm pretty sure Jared Shanker went to Penn State. I highly doubt he hates us
Even worse. He's like the guy from "Solid Verbal"... He likes ND more than PSU, and he went to PSU... And he is mad negative and never gives us props. He had a guy on to talk about "the success of PSU and BOB", then preceded to talk about the season for 5 mins, while talking about the next few years of sanctions for 40. Nothing like a self hating PSU alumn. Screw Shanker.
Regarding Peppers I am actually suprised that he didn't mention us at all....Not going to start losing faith yet due to BOB and staff being awesome. Really hoping he manages to get back on campus.

Peppers earlier post mentioned LSU, OSU, Michigan and Stanford. Five years ago I would have said "which one doesn't belong"? Now my perception is Stanford likes playing with the BIG Dogs (Oregon, USC) and to do that it takes........cash (Fab Five) and credits(Pryor, Clarett). If academic fraud is going to continue to be overlooked by Delaney, NCAA and the Middle States Accrediting Agency.... then recruiting 5 star players is going to be extremely difficult.
Let' see, if the choice is cash, cars, fake classes or go to PSU (no cash, no car, go to real classes), which would most 18 year olds choose?
So you are accusing Stanford of cheating and paying players? Quite an accusation for something I have never heard any hint of nor do I expect that you have either.
Go watch the video of the Nevada coach in another thread. He talked extensively about his time at Stanford and what an amazing group of student athletes they had, the amount of work that squad put in, and the fact that they were incredibly smart players so the coaches could do more with them. The 2010 Orange Bowl team was recruited when they were 1-11 so I doubt anyone is signing up for cars or credits. Maybe they just had a damn good coach.
Once he spoke to Urban and Hoke, the shine on the PSU visit was rusted.
rest assured on that. Both those guys are negative recruiting the hell out of Penn State right now, it's really the easiest negative recruit job there has ever been.
What would be interesting to know is what they are saying to the kids about each other. Urban hasn't ever met a school that he didn't like to negative recruit and Hoke is quickly gaining that skill.
I believe it about Meyer. How do you know about Hoke?
For as sleazy as we all know Urbz is, I'm surprised that he was on Joe's short list for successor.
"Penn State has taken a lot of punches in the last six months and it's time to punch back" - BOB
The Sandusky situation and the fact that Meyer was high on Paterno's list both were reminders that Joe might have been a very good judge of character but that he could certainly be fooled just like every other human. The other situation that falls into the same category was Joe's apparent friendship with Bobby Bowden.
I've never heard anything like that about Hoke, he seems like a classy guy.
