we got. I've got faith in Bench and Hack. If we get the Ferguson kid fine, if we don't, we'll be fine.
I don't think that is really the point.
You can't have one scholarship QB going into the spring. We are asking for a disaster scenario. If only because we need depth, you HAVE to get someone in for the spring.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
I like Bench and I'm really rooting for him to succeed at PSU. But I'm very wary of him being our most seasoned QB.
God told me Bench is better than those two JUCO guys anyway.
injuries can change the qb depth chart in a hurry.. md lost their top 3 to season ending injuries last season for example.. and there were a couple games in the last 10 years where we lost 2 qbs in one game (2006 UM and 2004 Wisc)..
Ask Coach Chambers how he feels about not having enough PG on the roster.... I don't want the football team to look like the basketball team currently does...
precisely. I said before that Waters was a vital recruit not because he is some future star (although he might be) but because he was the best available that can join before the spring. Ferguson is now a vital recruit. going into the spring with one QB is simply not an option, you can't even run an effective practice without 2 QBs.

is he here for the spring? that would be huge.
I think everyone is fine with who we got, that has been the rally cry since the sanctions. However, what if Bench gets hurt in the spring?
Personally, I think Bench is talented and I hope he succeeds at PSU. That said, I felt that Waters was our best plug-and-play QB possibility next year. We need a guy who can come in a month and lead the O. I felt good about Waters being able to do that, I'm not sure about the other guys at this point.
Hack, I'm sure, will become a great player for us, however, the probability of him learning even 30% of the playbook by openig day is an outside shot. I hope he proves me wrong.
