Looking good right now. Sasa is a new man on offense as of late.
If they have to win one, this is it.
Really not playing well, but staying in the game. 19-18 Illini
Free throw shooting is dismal right now. Really letting a winnable game get away as we approach the half.
Those missed free throws from Sasa were U-G-L-Y.
They played like crap through the final 10 minutes of that half.
Newbill's first missed one was pretty similar. Need to start the second half like the first half.
Great 5-0 start to the half. I never thought I'd want to lose Graham over Sasa heading into next year.
Ross Travis needs to stop shooting long range shots and work on getting closer to the rim.
All these ticky tac bs calls coming in to ruin a back and forth game
Neither team can get a physical rebound without refs tweeting out their behinds
This team just can't get over the hump and get the lead. Newbill has had two horrible turnovers in this second half.......a blatant walk and then a really poor over and back call.
and good night...
Yet another game that shows how desperate the Lions are for a good point guard.
The mistakes are brutal to watch. 8-2 run on PSU mistakes. I watch, I hope, but it is painful. Drink heavily to numb the pain
This possession by Illinois is just sad.
DJ Newbill is a TO machine tonight...he's turning the ball over like it's his job. Although PG is clearly not his natural position. It'll help us depth wise when TF returns next year. Don't know much about the kid from Pitt.
Free throw shooting is truly costing PSU the game.
I don't care how many times I repeat myself, what in the world has gotten into Sasa?
Bad idea letting Sasa walk. He's playing great and has been one of the main reasons for penn states improved play lately
These constant foul calls are infuriating. Let the kids play the game.
I've ripped on Sasa in the past(most of it deserved) but he has played pretty decent ball the last few games. It's like something finally clicked with him.
Newbill played one of his poorer games of the season.
Agreed. I still think his tendency to lay the rock so hard off the glass is an example of not being a polished D1 player, but he's more than proven himself an asset to the team these last few games IMO.
In response to Sloepoke - need to learn to use the quote feature apparently.
Well three competitive games in a row. Problem is the schedule doesn't ease up the rest of the way.
Penn State has lost 18 consecutive BT games......the longest current conference losing streak in Division 1. Yikes.
