McGloin was badass today. I've progressed from terrorized to cynical to hopeful to expectant of success with his play. I genuinely believed that he both could and would drive us down the field or make a big play in a crucial situation. And he did. Props to Matt...BOB has worked a miracle.

I didn't, but man that was great. Loving this win, big-time to come back like that.
Props to McGloin. Kid did indeed show a lot of moxie (told myself I would never use that word...ugh).
If there was ever a time to drink the Moxie kool aid it's now.......
McGloin was fairly awful today, but he came up HUGE in the 4th quarter. Made his best reads, and throws in that quarter.
Certainly not a performance I would have predicted last Fall!!
Coach truly deserves COY consideration.
Umm. I was calling for bench if u revisit my in game thread... I will vow to never do it again. MM is our guy gotta stick with him. Apologies to mcgloin!
Just wait till he gets his hands on Hack....
McGloin: 35/51, %69, 0 INTs, 1 rush td, 2 pass td, 282 in the air

35 for 51 for 282 yards, 2 TD passes, no interceptions, one rushing TD......I'll take fairly awful every game.
you need to do it every game. ;)
51 pass attempts should produce more than 282 yards. Took as horrible a sack as you can imagine. He was good enough, but not great. ZZ was our best player.
I threw a lot of things today... But MM showed heart. Man. Wow. I am very surprised and very amazed and am eating a lot of crow. This team has heart. Mauti deserves every defensive award this year. Bednarik (sp), every single one.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Stat's only tell part of the story.
He was making the wrong reads, throwing the ball behind receivers, throwing it up for grabs in double and triple coverage. Yes, the drops hurt, and while he came up huge in the 4th quarter, he really put the ball in some precarious situations in the first 3 quarters.
Not much of anything I agree with here. Great overall game from Matty

Yeah, early, but he recovered a played a very strong game when he needed to. I personally think calling him "fairly awful" is a bit of a disservice to his effort. He made mistakes early, some costly and some not, but he recovered and ended playing, for the most part, a magnificent game, IMHO. His drives were long, long drives - not short-field gifts. Also, I thought his intangibles were outstanding today, which are just as important as reading his progressions.
Not that today was the day to see Bench, but eventually he's going to need to see some playing time. Hopefully he at least gets some opportunities for mop-up time this season. Just taking snaps and handing off in a non-practice scenario has got to be better than nothing.
agreed. gotta work on that dive into the end zone there though. looked like a T-Rex with little arms though. Play called: Red Right, 28 T-Rex dive on 2, on 2, BREAK!!!
That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!
That shit happens with every qb....he cannot see every receiver at once, and while i was upset at him missing lehman wide open down the field, he saw something underneath that was there and did not hesitate to look at other options...cannot fault him for that

I don't blame you. After our solid start and then everything evaporated, I was as frustrated as anyone.
But man am I happy now.
Props to Allen Robinson too. Kid had some very good catches...that fourth down TD was solid.
So you seem be suggesting PSU should have gone downfield more with their passes instead of going with the more certain patterns they ran.
Yards per attempt depends on what the defense is giving you. We controlled the ball the entire game which obviously was the game plan. If a ball control offense means throwing shorter passes, than you do shorter passes. His passing accuracy was almost 70 percent today.

We're have no shot at a bowl game or a shot at a B1G champiosnhip, and we have a true freshman backing up Mcgloin. Why anyone is bashing Mcgloin after this performance boggles my mind, he's leading this team and if he doesn't play we lose this game. It's time to rally behind him and realize while he's not amazing he's the best we got and can come through when it counts.
I don't think people are bashing him. While he was excellent in the 4th quarter, he was average in the first half, and he'll tell you that, and so would BOB.
He's gotta be better. The fact is he got it done when we needed it the most. He deserves major props for that.
Tons of clutch plays today all over with the exception is special teams. McGloin is maturing and it's great for PSU. A Rob is clutch and the front 7 is filthy!!!! PSU manhandled NW, but special teams kept them around.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
There are a few things that can be questioned about Mcgloin. Judgement? Sometimes. Cockiness? Often. Heart? NEVER. All 3 on full display today.
