Visited the Twitter thread, you should go check out all the praise for Bill O'Brien's speech tonight......very impressive and signals to me how effective he can be on the recruiting trail when talking with the kids and their parents!
Which twitter thread?
Dominate The State
Anyone know if the talk is online anywhere? Gotta think someone was recording it.
I just hope we can hold on to him.
Here's the link

Hes talking about OB speaking at the AFCA.
"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
Sorry, I meant the speech he did tonight at the AFCA convention. I think that's what the OP was referencing.
A lot of clinics don't allow you to record seminars/speaches.
OB needs to continue to do speaking engagements like this. He seems to do well in these situations, which should only help on the recruiting front. Get the word out about himself and the football program.
I hope so. But IMO he will leave for the NFL when the right opportunity arises. just a matter of when.
Success without honor is an unseasoned dish; it will satisfy your hunger, but it won't taste good.
He is here now which is the important thing.
Disagree. I think within the next year he will fully be on board with staying at PSU for the rest of his career. I think last year it was 100% in his mind he wanted the NFL.....Right now I bet it's 50%. Another year with these kids and the town, he'll want to stay.
He has to keep hinting about the NFL because he has to have a safety net if admin at PSU continues to suck for years to come. If the right changes are made, I predict he is here at least 10 years.
Largely depends on his family too. He mentioned yesterday how happy his wife was in St College, and how she was a driving force behind his family. If she puts the breaks on another move for their family, that's where it ends.

Does anyone know if BOB's wife Colleen is practicing law in town anywhere? I know they have a special needs child which might be her sole concern at this point.
A friend of mine is an up and coming coach at the college level. He told me Obrien's speech was quote "epic"
I can't speak definitively, but I'm fairly positive that she does not currently practice law. I recall an article back when BOB was hired that said when Jack was born, the two of them decided that she would take on the role of primary caregiver. Given his condition, I doubt that leaves room for her to practice.
I was kind of leaning that way but thanks for the clarification.
Someone started a thread on TOS compiling Tweets from attendees at the AFCA Convention. The overwhelming majority were in awe of BOB's Speech.
