God this is painful to watch. Are we seriously this bad?
Montminy on the floor. Make no mistake that he has passed Akosa. This has nothing to do with last semester's GPA.
tough call on Travis. damn
Travis with a nice catch and pop of elbow jumper. 21-14.
Lions will need superhuman effort in second half or a few threes in this one to get these people Big Macs.
Graham just hacked Alex Olah something fierce and the ball went in anyway.
23-14, 4:52 left in half.

Could be a big swing there.
Newbill has to be very careful not to get his third foul here before half. Doesn't look like he's coming out of the game.
time to put Travis back out there. 2 fouls be damned. We can't fall much further behind here.
Bad turnover by Taylor leads to Hearn layup.
27-16. Wildcats on 19-4 run.
Cannot remember the last time a Carmody team was out-rebounding a Penn State team. It might have never happened, but it's happening right now (13-12). Wildcats usually don't even try to crash boards.
Saw the graphic on Trey Burke. He was originally committed here wasn't he?
Yes, for a bit under Ed before he opened things back up.
For a while too.
Taylor gets his third with under 2 minutes to play in half. Kid cannot stay out of foul trouble.
Hearn 3 makes it 30-16. Lions have made 8 of 25 shots so far.
Swopshire finds Kale Abrahamson for another 3 and it's 33-16, 1:02 left in half.
Northwestern ain't this good, guys. Lions simply despondent right now.
We are simply not very good right now...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
VERY disappointed in this effort. This game is over. Given the venue and opponent it is about as embarrassing as it will get the rest of the way.
We may make a run to get within 5 at best. We had 12 points very early too.
On a positive note, Sasa makes his fts
Lions finish half with Colella, Montminy, Jack, Travis and Sasa on the floor.
Four starters have at least two personals. Taylor with three.
Oh, and NW leads 33-18.
Penn State at 31 percent; NW at 48 percent.
I hope the next AD makes BBall a priority. I think Chambers is legit, but he needs help from the university with facilities and recruiting resources.
A successful BBall team would be wildly popular.
Looks like this team spent all its energy in the Indiana game. Little talent + No energy/ effort = Embarrassing loss
How has this team not gotten any better from last year? I don't know why I watch these games. I try so hard to be optimistic about the direction of this program, but its not easy when you watch the games and see no one developing into a better player.
Blame this on whatever and whoever you want. I blame DeChellis for the crap he left behind, but Chambers is flat out getting out coached tonight and I don't think it should be sacrilege to call him out on it. We have given him enough praise to where it should be automatic that we are at least competitive against this NW team at home.
We don't have a point guard. No one can adequately create shots and no one can guard an opposing pg. I bet for the rest of Chambers' head coaching career, he never has a roster with only one point guard (TIm Frazier got injured) on it.
Probably will aim for three PGs.
Iowa with a mini meltdown at home in the final 2 minutes against Sparty
Were up 3 and fouled a 3 point shooter. MSU made 3 fts, and then converted an easy bucket off a turnover to take a 2 point lead.
Iowa down 2 misses a ft but gets the rebound and Sparty makes a stupid foul very far away from the hoop. Iowa makes first ft and misses second. Sparty makes 2 fts to win by 3.
