Btw, pretty good chance that one of these OSU fanboys is really Helwagen using another one of his aliases.
Oh God, you just answered a post from one of the dregs of Bucknuts. Another stats guy. Another guy who can't comprehend that Mauti would have racked up stats in the final seven quarters that certainly would have put him over Shazier's total tackle number. It makes it clear for certain, these guys don't know anything about Michael Mauti or haven't watched too much PSU football. What a joke.
Which one will burn them more - if Mauti wins DPOY or O'Brien wins COY?

And he played almost 2 more full games than Mauti. Mauti averaged nearly 10 tackles a game. So, that would put him right where Shazier is in tackles. Along with that comes leadership which Mauti absolutely blows your boy out of the water for.
We can go in circles all day long, but the bottom line is that Mauti was both the media and coaches' pick. Sorry.

Only one of them? I would consider than an improvement.
In terms of professionalism, Bob L. destroys Helwagen... it's that sad.
I agree, Mauti is a playmaker.
In regards to Shazier. Ya, stats aren't the end all be all, but they paint a picture. And if you watched us you also know he made most big plays for us this year. Pick six and two drive killing sacks against you guys. FF on the one to stop Wisconsin tying that game. TFL on Michigan's fourth and three attempt. He's just always around making plays.
The two of them are the best LB's in the league this year and it's not close.
Yo dude, I was just praising Mauti, read a little next time. Btw, shazier missed three quarters as well.
