I would guess late 2-4...
Eagles would do well getting him...... Bowman haunts me!
PENN STATE FOREVER
With coaching changes who knows if hodges would fit the eagles new style
When your team is a pile of suck.... any talent helps haha
After the combine, I say he sneaks in to late first round and mid second round status. Teams are looking for more speed at the position, and lee and bowmans success are proving that our linebackers are not just products of a system.
lol downvoted would love for the eagles to land him
Let's talk about this after the combine. With good numbers I bet he goes second. I wouldn't draft him before the 3rd though. Worry about his ability to get off blocks and his overall instincts.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
Agree here. I think he's a round 4 talent, but wouldn't be surprised if he sneaks up to the late 2nd with the combine I expect from him.
4-5 round. There is a lot of lb talent on the draft this year
He'll run a low 4.5 and grade as a 2-3rd Rd pick. A good team that can use a pick without a guaranteed spot for him on the field seems like the best bet. 49ers could use him all over the field until he's'a starter someday.
How about the Pats. Bob may be in Bill's ear about some of these guys.
Wouldn't mind the donkeys picking him up, but that's the bias in me that really wants a Penn State guy out in Denver for once. I doubt it would happen with the talent at OLB, though.
Probably first half of second round. When Lee got hurt this year, he and Bowman were top two in tackles. I think Hodges will have better career than both and be annual All Pro after a couple of years. He is that good. Imagine his numbers without having to split stats with Mauti.
no bowman was so underrated it was a tragedy in college, 3rd round was an embarrassment to scouting nfl talent, bowman was better then hodges in college ....not saying that to diminish hodges ability at all, just that bowman was better at the same time periods
I would guess mid to late 3rd to early 4th.
I'm of the same opinion as most here - 3rd round is likeliest. Going to miss Hodges. He was a great player and one of the leaders of this squad. Seems like a good guy on top of that.
If he has a good combine esp the 40 (4.5/4.55) then we will be a late 2nd round early 3rd round.
'Respect All Fear None."
So he was better than Lee/Bowman, will be better in the NFL, and at 6'2/240 will run a 4.5 at the combine. I had no idea we had the greatest linebacker specimen of all time on our team.
I think his coverage skills will make him one of the top 2 LBs drafted.
Who's Manti Te'o?
I say early 3rd.
I'm with the mid 3rd round crowd.
He can move 10 spots either waybased on his combine and the depth of the LB class.
Mauit is a more interesting discussion.
3rd to 4th.
"A bowl game ain't nothing but a vacation." - Gerald Hodges
I keep seeing mocks with Teo in the top 5, and I have to hold back the laughter.
Hodges will be a mid to late 2nd rd pick or possibly early 3rd
Right now, I say Hodges goes 4-5. If he can have a killer combine and show off his skills, he could leap up to late 2nd early 3rd.
