We are not the only ones!!
From the sounds of things, we shouldn
...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"
Hahaha nice. Unfortunately, I don't think MSU will win too many battles against Meyer. They'll get some well-grounded kids like Cox, but that's about it. Just have to be patient and wait Meyer out at this point, wait for him to burn his own bridges.
Doesn't seem to be a coincidence he hasn't delved into the south yet for recruits.
The agreement was in my opinion a dumb one.
Nothing is written in stone until that fax comes on in. You gotta hustle and hustle hard. You're either getting better or getting worse - not staying the same.
I am not sure what a "gentlemens agreement" is but if your job is to win football games and you will lose your job if you don't, the only thing I would agree to do is follow the NCAA Rules and be open and honest with the players that I want on my team. Why would anyone agree to back off of a player once they commit? Some of these kids commit to 2-3 different schools before they sign. If you back off of those players, you are basically eliminating yourself from contention.
IMO, all players, including OSU commitments are fair game until they tell you to back off or sign on the dotted line.
How about the kid that tried to commit to you guys today and Meyer pulled his offer?
Wha was that?
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
I didn't know Meyer knew how to pull an offer? Thought he only knew how to give them, and lots of them

It was on twitter. Don't know what the kids name was though.
Well heck it was on twitter so it must be true
I know Saban pulled something like that today but I did not hear anything about "the name that can't be spoken". Does anybody have any info on this, I would be more curious then anything if it was.
I think OSU will be looking for a new coach within five years.
I think PSU will be looking for a new coach in two years.
Saban pulled something like that today but at least he gave the kid a shot to stay with the team unlike Meyer (if true).
Interesting response. 3 legit possible reasons here
1. Upset knowing that history puts the OSU coaches timeline at roughly 5 years
2. You think O'Brien is THAT good to get an even better job in 2 years? that would put you on the minority list even amongst PSU and maybe some Pat fans.
3. Only thing a childs mind comes up with, lash out whilst exaggerating some.
Maybe more to come, let the voting begin.

Neal, but it has been proven false..an internet rumor.
Other Spartan fans may get bent out of shape about this, but I'm not really buying any Dantonio/Tressel "no touch agreement" based solely on the recruitment of Doran Grant last fall. If you ask me, this is all much ado about nothing. Stuff will always happen when you have coaches desperate to win and finicky 18 year old kids changing their minds. Meyer is going to be a richard on the recruiting trail to anyone and everyone. That seems to be how he rolls. No big deal, though. If MSU can continue to find under the radar kids and develop them through S&T and playing time, they will be just fine. I've been happiest about Dantonio's ability to turn one, two and three star athletes into solid contributors and quality depth. That's what was missing at MSU for years, and what contributed to their decline in the early 2000's.
Sparty > Walverines
No offense Buckeye trolls, but you guys are starting to sound similiar to the Vols fans in how they used to defend Kiffen, just sayin there is a similarity there.. Also, it was MIke Farrell tweeting about Davonte Neal set to commit to osu and being told he couldnt.. It might be false, but Mike Farrell isnt exactly sports by brooks, he does have sources..
Yeah, you're right. Penn State is famous for firing football coaches. O'Brien is really on the hot seat!
fwiw, Urban gets paid by tOSU to look out for tOSU and to produce a winner at tOSU...its not his job to 'protect" other schools by not trying to get the best kids he can to become Buckeyes. its Big Boy Football and should be treated as such....
Thanks for the deep insight.
anytime...some people seem'd a tad confused
SportsbyBrooks is legit.....
Neal came out and said he has not decided anything.
As for the Kiffen comparisons........not even close. Urban has national titles in his resume as the head coach and is not using the OSU job as ladder to get somewhere else.
legit? Yikes home boy
And the second part...wishful thinkin? :)

"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
I do not think there was ever an unwritten agreement....I understand the MSU kid called UM up, so all bets are off then.
Can you name one coach besides Fickell that OSU has had in the last 50 years that lasted less than 5 years? No you can't. The answer is they have all lasted longer. So your point is?
Woody 28 years
Earl Bruce 9 years
John Cooper 13 yeras
Jim Tressel 10
