Coquese situation is a slightly different scenario then Bill's, IMO. The decision to retain Coach O'Brien at a higher salary, in the current state the football program is in, is a decision I'm wary of our leadership to make.
I hope so.....I would be right with ya there.

Rumors aren't dying.
David Jones of the Harrisburg Patriot News was a guest of 97.5 The Fanatic today to discuss the rumors of the Eagles interest in Penn State football coach Bill OBrien.
Jones has been at the...
so there's "No Way" they will pay any buyout.....

I thought I was the only one confused at Jones playing both sides.
This article and Jones' opinion don't make sense. BOB is trying to use reported interest in the Eagles to renegotiate the buyout when the Eagles won't pay a buyout? BOB has to have a clear exit strategy in place to play chicken with the administration. There is no way the buyout will be $0-no matter what lawyer BOB hires. If the Eagles will not pay ANY buyout, they are not a viable option and offer BOB no ammunition.

I sadly agree, really pisses me off and may make me rethink my commitment to this University. This is the same behaviour that got them into this crap in the first place.
Rumors aren't going to die until the NFL openings are filled or OB's side comes out and says they renegotied his deal and he is staying. That article honestly makes a lot of sense to me. The "if the Eagles offer, he is gone quote" may very well be true but it was put out there to get people to read the article. There is nothing in that article that makes me think OB is more likely to leave than anything we have heard in the last week.
I can't see what's so hard about negotiating with Erickson...
He's proven in the past that he will crack under any type of pressure.
Is it me or is the only guy drumming up these rumors is Jones?
He's been on this path since November.

Back when the sanctions were imposed and players were considering transferring, BOB said "you're either in or you're out". He needs to take his own advice. If you want out, go now so everyone can move on. If you're staying, say so. All we hear is crickets. He seems to want out badly for this to be where it is.
And we saw throughout the Sandusky scandal a willingness by local PSU beat writers to do whatever possible to get national attention. Things that make you go hmmmm.
