Has some kind words about Jordan's game.
Year after year a dlineman is selected high in the draft.. All the credit is to LJ Sr, dude is a technician and connects so well with his players.. Looking forward to how he will develop Daquan jones, deon Barnes, and Anthony zettel in the coming years, have high expectations for all three under Johnson's wing..
Sounded like Hill really made an impression; enough of an impression for them to keep an eye on him with respect to a certain round. It sure would be nice to have another Penn Stater to root for on my Cowboys squad. Before Lee got hurt, it was nice watching him every week. I was hoping they might draft either Hill or Hodges. We'll see.
...not sure who you are, but I know who WE ARE...
I read some other reviews that said in practice Hill was trying to show his power instead of quickness and did not impress. When I watched some of the game though he was in constant motion. I am not sure he was dominant, but he was a very active contributor in on many tackles. He will continue to make gains in strength and explosiveness in a NFL weight program and will contribute to a defensive front.
yeah, I also read that in one-on-one he did poorly (couldn't anchor against the run). I think a lot like Ziggy Anseh, practice situations are not kind Jordan Hill because of his style of play.
In good news though, I heard that he looked thinner in the lower-body - it makes me believe that he could add some weight to address that issue of power/anchoring. I am really pulling for him, he reminds me a lot of Spice Adams as a player.
yea and a ton of them are busts unfortunately!
A ton of players at every position are busts. Ie stud QB's coming out of USC
I'm not following the "busts" comment. More times than not I feel like LJ has gotten the most out of his guys....especially more recently. I think the bust notion is tied to Haynes/Brown/Kennedy. Then obviously Maybin who should have never left school early.
People forget that Brown had a very good rookie year and then had 5 sacks in 5 games in year 2 before his injury pretty much ended his career.
Yeah, Brown was on pace to be a special NFL player until the injuries derailed that. I can't label a player a bust just because of injuries.
I would say Tamba and Odrick are playing very well. Anthony Adams had a long successful career (what you ask of 2nd round guy).
If you blame LJsr for Maybin, I think you should credit him for Phil Taylor (who has been very solid).
