I know some people have talked about the game against Syracuse in weeks past. Figured it's worth sharing that Doug Marrone, former 'Cuse head coach, took a total of 7 assistants with him to the Buffalo Bills.
Their DC was made HC, but he took the OC Nathaniel Hackett with him (same position with Bills). Not sure what the other guys did, but attached is an article with the list.
Honestly, I don't like facing new coaches, as you never quite know what they're going to do, but I would think overall it should help Penn State's case.
Hey, Bills fans - stop complaining about Doug Marrone hiring his former Syracuse staffers. This happens all the time. Its a good thing.
I would think it has to be hard, getting to know all new coaches, schemes , as well as affecting morale... Particularly in the first couple games - i think we saw that with our new staff.
With or without Marrone, Syracuse was going to be a bit different. New QB that didn't possess the skills of Ryan Nassib and the losses of Lemon, Pugh and others ...
The offense was going to look totally different anyway. The unknown is always a bit un-nerving, but ...
Seems to me that Syracuse's RB's started to come alive near the end of the season so I'd expect the run game to take a front seat, especially vs. us since it's the first game of the year. Hopefully we can do very minimal things and win the game by a fairly large margin. With BOB and these kids in year two of this system, I'm anxious for big things to come.

Tyrone Wheatley ... I wonder what his comment about the Raiders vs. Bucs Superbowl will be?
That's a lot of guys to take with you though.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
