Thankful and blessed to make the decision to commit to THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME!!! #ND #IrishMob13

Wonder what this means for AA.
Didn't they say they wanted him as an ILB in their defense? And AA doesn't want to play H-Back.
EDIT: vv too slow tubby!

Not surprising really. Interesting as he and Anzo would both most likely be playing on the inside. Wonder how many ILBs they're taking up there.
Good luck to the kid.
Assume this helps our cause with AA???
Why the jab at Colasanti? Sure he didn't live up to expectations, but he still contributed and left PSU with a degree. He's one of us.
First thing I thought of when I saw this was that Rutgers poster who thought they were going to get Deeb lol
So you're telling me Stevenson's going to FSU..
That surprises me, so he didn't jump on the FSU offer huh? I wonder if he still had a spot here, or if he just preferred ND?
Honestly, that's who he reminded me of the most. I'm surprised by this one, thought FSU once that offer came. Does this signal Stevenson to FSU now? That or he waits on his hopeful Florida offer. Either way, this move makes me think that we: 1. Are not going to get a Florida LB this year and 2. May have improved our position for AA by default depending on Notre Dame's ILB numbers. I see this as nothing but good news.

I wonder if he'll stick around once Kelly is gone. It's going to be an ugly season for ND.
I think the kid from NY picks them as well.
Best of luck to Deeb.
I much rather have Benton.
Congrats to him on going to a great school. One less LB offer to worry about now.
Agreed, this only helps us. AA knows we will take him no matter what, not so much with ND...
This definitely helps on the Anzalone front. Good luck to Deeb. I always liked him and you can't really blame him for choosing Notre Dame with the academics and all. Now we can focus on other LB recruits Most notably AA and Benton.
"On paper they have nothing to play for– no bowl games, rankings, or championships– yet they play like they have everything on the line."
Agree with that comparison.
The fact he never visited PSU despite his glowing comments shows it was really never in the mix.
IIRC, ND is recruiting Anzalone as a RB, not as a LB
Not a jab. Just calling a spade a spade.
Great kid, hard worker, good student. Was physically developed when he arrived, played in a straight line.

This is completely wrong. ND is recruiting Anzalone as a LB and the Deeb commitment really does not affect Anzalone as we are looking to take 4 or maybe 5 LB's as we didn't take any last year.
Mostly agree, but Deeb does seem to have a better "feel" against the pass (at least on film). But yeah, he would scare me on crossing routes.
He actually planned to do a whole swing up north this summer, but it looks like he just loved what he saw from ND and stopped his recruitment right there.
I was one that was never hot on Deeb. Glad he is going elsewhere and good for him, great school, mediocre football for a long while, but still great school and gets great recruiting classes, they just need to bring it all together sometime.
