wow sure is, but just read he was interviewing with USF, along with guys like Willie Taggert and Houston Nutt. He must have pissed someone off at FIU, I know they had a down year but they're freaking FIU, I doubt they think they can do better than Cristobal. Willie Taggert is also interviewing at Wisconsin.
Saw a report that the Western Kentucky coach interviewed at Wisconsin. Either they're aiming a lot lower than we thought they would, or just covering all their bases. Assuming it's the latter for now.
Taggert has been a decently big name this go around. He's not in the top list of guys, but he's definitely somewhere in the b-level IMO.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Coach Bielema's contract details... 3.2 million for 6 years, 700k in incentives, Buyout 3million decreasing by 500k each year after. Arkansas will pay wisky's 1 million dollar buyout.
Edit: Link works, click unavailable for all the contract details.

SEC at its best - he gets $25k bonus for graduating a paltry 60%, $50k for a 65% graduation rate.

Very strong hire by #Colorado to lure Butch Jones. It will take some work to get things back on track, bu quality program.

Just reached out to Butch Jones, who said any report of him taking the Colorado job is "absolutely false."

Alvarez to coach Wisconsin in the bowl game at the request of the team captains. Almost makes me want to root for Wisconsin.

This say a lot how good a job Tennessee is today.
“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
Gundy, please don't do this. You're better off at OkieState, even if you do hate the AD. Tennessee is fool's gold right now.
Tennessee having a major problem getting a coach; Arkansas got its 15th choice and Auburn got someone that will get booted in three years.
Mario Cristobal fired at FIU. Guy was in the running for Rutgers last ear after taking FIU to its first bowls in 2010 and 2011.
While Dooley didn't do a lot to help his cause he stepped into a horrid situation and didn't seem to have the backing necessary. 3rd coach in 3 years when he takes over, sanctions because of Kiffin, and a lot of players had bolted leaving the shelves empty. I think a lot of coaches see that and say I don't know if I can trust these guys, especially if there are other options on the table.
Not sure why Tennesee isnt pulling in a decent coach so far. I believe they just had a massive facility upgrade done, along with its tradition, makes it the most desirable of the open SEC jobs to me.

Sonny Dykes is Cal's new head coach
Louisiana Tech's Sonny Dykes will be named the new football coach at California, replacing Jeff Tedford, according to sources.
You don't have to tell me the circumstances Dooley took over. It was a shitty time to be looking for a coach when Tennessee was and not too many good ones, if any, were available.
That said, Tennessee got ahead of the curve this year and is still having a rough time finding someone. To me, that is a top 15 type job in the country. Hell, Charlie Strong, who coaches in the freakin Big East and wanted to get back to the SEC even turned it down.
Maybe they should never have fired Fulmer.

The Wisconsin State Journal (Madison) and Milwakuee Journal Sentinel report that Petersen is expected to interview with Wisconsin
Dominate The State
Yawn ... interview so he can tell them he is staying in Boise. How many times have we seen this movie before?
and to follow up my last post...
@Matt_HayesSN: Just spoke to source who just spoke to Chris Petersen. He's not interviewing at #Wisconsin.
Interesting story how Bielema hire went down. Took about 48 hours to get it done.
Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long and Coach Bret Bielema describe the events that led to Bielema being named the Razorbacks 32nd head football coach.

Outside of getting paid more, I still don't see Arkansas as a better job than Wisky. I wonder if Wisky even tried to match the money, or if Bielema even gave them a chance.
I read quote from Bielema that basically said Wisconsin couldn't pay assistants the money he thought was necessary. So Arkansas is probably going to give him a better shot at retaining his staff year over year.
Well, if that's true then shame on Wisky. With the money B1G teams get, there's no excuse to not be competitive with coaches salaries, or be surprised when your coach bolts b/c of it.
So he's taking his staff with him? Time to raid Wisconsin for anything we need lol
WE ARE! And we will always be...
According to Jack Arute yesterday, Bielema is only taking one staff member with him. Raid Wisky's class? PSU only went after two and they had limited interest.
