I don't think that is a good hire at all. If Auburn wants to clean itself of improprieties, why bring back a former assistant from a staff that won a title with a bought QB? It's like bringing back Kiffen to USC.
Shows Auburn is having an equally rough time finding someone.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
I don't think it's a step backwards for the SEC. Just look at the bcs top ten....you think they care.
Muschamp doing great at UF
Saban and les miles still kicking
Johnny football has three more years
UGA and Gamecocks still solid teams
Malzahn is just as innovative as chip Kelly, they just need a real defensive coordinator since roof is no longer there.
As much as we want to knock on bielama, wiscy has been to three straight rose bowls.
I hate bielama as much as the next person and he's a piece of crap, but he wins.

RT @SIPeteThamel: BREAKING: BC will hire Temple Coach Steve Addazio. Team meetings at 5 at both places
This post was edited by warner3398 16 months ago
Looks like Steve Adazzio to BC
Boston College will hire Temple's Steve Addazio as its next football coach, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.
Addazio? I'd think Diaco would be a better hire, but OK.
Terrible hire. Diaco would of been a hell of a recruiter, maybe not the best coach, but a terrible recruiter. Addazio sucks at both.
Look for Diaco to get a look by Wisconsin. If not staying at ND isn't a bad thing.
They hired him because they're desperate to win immediately, and Malzahn could potentially do that.
I'm pretty sure Auburn doesn't give a damn how, or how much it costs, they just want to be relevant in CFB and compete for titles.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Wow. That guy sucks.
No link, but read that the Kent State coach (Hazell?) turned down Purdue.
Hazell has supposedly taken the job.
Bruce Feldman @BFeldmanCBS
Purdue is hiring Darrell Hazell as its new coach, a source tells CBS.

"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
Charlie Strong to Tennessee according to SiriusXM College Sports Nation.
I don't think he will be successful in Tennessee if that is the play.
"And the coaching carousel goes round and round, round and round!"
OP updated less the Strong to UT with no confirmation link. Now split up by conferences. Yes I consider the Big East to be a mid major.
Mtayl... Trent Miles took the Georgia State job, not the Western Michigan job.
Son of a... And fixed.
Thank you sir.
Things are really coming apart down in Knoxville.
ESPN now reporting that Strong, who was now said to be Tennessee's top target, is likely to stay at Louisville.
They have now whiffed on Gruden, Fisher, and Strong. If they are smart, they go full court press on Mike Gundy. They whiff there, not sure what happens.
I say on twitter that Tenn. has interviewed Larry Fedora from UNC.
Dominate The State
Nevermind then, thanks for the correction.
Isn't this how they ended up with Dooley at knoxville last time? Nobody wanted the job And I would NOT want to be a coach in the SEC. Somebody has to loose. Good luck Mark Stoops at Kentucky. You are the worst coach in the conference. Just look at some of the historical dogs in the SEC and who their coaches are. MSU has Dan Mullen, Ole Miss has Hugh Freeze who has been doing work there, Vandy has a damn good coach in James Franklin. South Carolina has it rolling with the OBC. There are no easy outs. Beliema goes right into the meat grinder. Be interesting to see who in the SEC gets whacked first. Coaching in the SEC is probably awesome... except for the job security. Hell Les Miles goes 8-5 back to back years I bet he gets whacked.
To be fair, we have no idea how good of a coach lil' Stoops is. He could be Bear Bryant or Jeff Blake and we wouldn't know the difference until he started the season.
And also, while I'm a Dan Mullen fan, he could have done better this season. He still doesn't have as much depth as other teams in the conference, but he should've squeaked out at least one more win this season, possibly two.
I understand and agree with your point though.
Mario Cristobal out at FIU. That's a fall from grace.

Didn't he turn down a job somewhere else too? He should have struck while the iron was hot.
