Open container, right?
From the Columbus Dispatch article:
"Meyer has a strict policy regarding violence against women. He immediately dismissed senior Storm Klein from the team last summer when the linebacker was accused of having a physical altercation with a former girlfriend in his apartment. But when Klein later was cleared of the charges he was allowed to return to the team."
This is how the local media spins it. One small problem. Klein wasn't "cleared of the charges". The mother of his child asked them not to press charges after he attempted to open the front door with her face when she stopped by "unannounced" to confront him about their relationship. He ended up getting 18 months probation for a plea of disorderly conduct.
Dominate The State
Three players arrested in a single day on three separate charges.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
I heard DWI as well. Not sure about that though.
I think Bell was a passenger in the car and thus only got the open container. I believe the driver (not Bell) was charged with DWI.
After reading a bit more into it, I think you are correct.
There are also rumblings about another freshman getting in trouble.. Tim Gardner (90 rated by 247, mid 3 star on the composite from 2013 class).

"PSU a 3 to 4 win team" - New-era, September 2012
Not so fast, devil in the details. Meyer said if it turns out to be untrue Hyde will be back. So i guarantee you this kid is back, OSU doesn't care about criminals beating beating.
WOW. Five incidents. Holy crap.
They are going to have to come down hard on these kids or it will look really bad. This is going to get press. Seems like they are acting accordingly though. Pretty harsh responses to all of them, except Roby whose story we don't really know yet.
Meyer will talk tough now while the heat is on and miraculously they will all be back for their tough games.
Not to defend OSU, but Hyde is named as a person of interest, not an accused - how about waiting until he is charged with something, wouldn't want to rush to judgement or anything.....
Roby got in a bar fight, stupid, but it is what it is.
Bell was dinged with open booze - the driver was not hum but did get a DWI (all of this back in April I believe), again stupid but it was open booze.
Baugh was booze and fake ID - not really all that unusual for a frosh
Gardner was an obstruct or something similar but has had issues in the past with Marihuana I thought - could be wrong on that though) might explain why he is gone.
If Hyde is guilty he is gone, Gardner is gone (be it to make room or because there is more to it) and the suspensions for the rest sound about right. JMO though.
Media doesn't rush to judgment! Ever
...not sure who you are, but I know who WE ARE...
So what was the problem at Penn State when we had approx. 45 arrests in the mid 2000's?? Because I know youre not going to rip Paterno or the Penn State "culture" for all of our off field issues, and believe me, we have had more than our fair share of off the field issues.
