lol, always knew he was a dbag.
A joking remark like "Nice inning" aside, Bobby V hasn't made it any easier on himself, dissing Kevin Youkilis, jousting with journalists and disclosing that he had, in fact, advised running back Silas Redd to transfer from Penn State to USC. (They're both from Stamford, Conn.)
“If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.” ― Haruki Murakami
LOL... that is just goofy. "Hey, let's ask for advice on my football career from a MLB manager!" Odd to say the least.
Bobby V was a star football player back in his day in Stamford. He was heavily recruited by PSU before he decided to go to USC. I read an article where Bobby was saying that he had so much respect for JoePa blah blah blah, he still kept his recruiting letter from Joe hanging in his office. Doesnt suprise me that he isnt 100 percent focused on his job and is wasting time "advising" a college kid to transfer. As much of an asshole Bobby V is, he is very respected in Stamford. Everyone from there still talks about him like they kno him cause they ate at his restaurant.
Better question here is: Why is Redd taking advice from BV?
"A bowl game ain't nothing but a vacation." - Gerald Hodges
He is a shit manager.
The Redd family is looking foolish.
PENN STATE FOREVER
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
it was a business decision.
Hey, if Silas didn't feel comfortable with his situation then how can we try to write it different in someone elses book? i wish him the best even though I think he could have done well had he stayed. The reason Bobby V can't manage is because management won't let him. I am stuck up here south of B-town and hear it all the time.
God only knows why ... his own team isn't listening to him - especially his pitching staff.
Yet another reason to hate Bobby Valentine. Seriously, of all the MLB guys in the world, they get Bobby V.
I truly believe that Silas made the wrong move. Any success that PSU had on offense this year would have been attributed to him, warranted or not. This would have elevated his draft status... versus now with him competing to get carries at USC.
He ain't heavy - He's my brother!
I can truly feel that you are hitting the nail oon the head. It is crazy to think he had such a huge season last year and he leaves an offense that had made him a key piece. Then again if Coach O' Brien runs the O like he did here in N.E., some games there would not be a whole lot of touches. A gameplan O certainly doesn't favor any one individual aspect but utilizes other teams weaknesses. My question is this. Kiffin....????
Exactly.. Kiffin..??! "It was a business decision".. I think the last time i heard that was in regards to Reggie Bush.. And we all know how that ended. Another 'business decision' was Cam newton loll.. Neways, not comparing here, but i'll say it again.. Best of luck to him in his future after football, health-wise and career-wise, but hope he doesnt get a single TD and USC loses all its games this year and next!
I think bobby should really try and focus on managing his baseball team because he has been doing a terrible job this season. It must be hard for him not to give football advice....
Ughhh this makes me ashamed to live in Stamford, CT. Whatever his shitty restaurant is overpriced anyway
Let it go, starting to sound really pathetic.
