What about Harvard Basketball? Their Senior Co-captain just withdrew from school in the midst of accusations of academic impropriety. It would be a big story if Harvard got nailed for an Academic scandal.
Eh ... they booted him out of school. This isn't the first time this has happened at Harvard. A few years ago, their stud hockey goalie got a one year ban for almost the same thing.
So, the NCAA is going to nail Harvard because of one student-athlete, but yet, let UNC off scott free? Not buying this is about Harvard.
Would be really interesting if a bunch of schools got hit simultaneously:
UNC, Duke, Auburn, Miami

Harvard news just came out; Duke news is still somewhat fresh.
I'm willing to bet its finally Auburn. NCAA has already said UNC did nothing wrong, so I doubt they pull a 180 and nail them now. Maybe its Oregon or Miami, but still betting Auburn.
It's been a little quiet on the USCw front with the McKnight rumors.
The iPhone 5 is supposed to be announced tomorrow. Does that count as breaking news?
The Auburn board seems to have some heavy VIP traffic about something NCAA related.
This has nothing to do with news coming out tomorrow but I just saw McQueary walking by Old Main. Awkward.
This made me laugh for some reason.
I saw that bastard quite a few times on campus this summer. I wish that he would move away.
I am pretty sure it is the story about the Memphis HS system, and consulors passing/graduating players that should have been inelgible or held back......to get them to college. It involves the University of Memphis, Miss St, and Auburn. Memphis recently graduated a player that could not read or write, and the main guy in the case is a Fr RB at Auburn. If not Duke, thats my guess
That's tragic, yet we are the school that put athletics before academics.
Hmm makes you wonder how that kid and probably a significant portion of the kids from the Memphis HS system who can't read or write are able to academically survive in college.

thats easy........ $EC......the NCAA's cash cow. You know, the conference that has Bama, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee with continous violations with nothing done about it. You know, the conference that had that QB who won the Heisman whose dad was on tape shopping him for 180k. Bottom line is: NCAA wouldnt do anything to tarnish a 2nd Heisman winner and thats season rating darling, and no school in hte SEC would be DUMB ENOUGH to pay 5 million dollars to throw itself under the bus, as we did.
Ding, Ding, Ding.....seems like Joe Schad has a little article about Mississippi St and paying a recruit from a booster and a coach knew about it. Hmmmmmmm, same Mississippi State that was mixed up in the Cam Newton stuff....Hmmmmm, Dr. Emmert on line 1???
Yeah right, nothing to see here folks, nothing to see here.....Emmert used to work in the SEC and nothing bad happens there.
In other news the NCAA just announced that all Penn State Players are free to transfer to Mississippi State and recieve paid game checks from boosters with no penalties.
