Pretty significant IMHO.
Potentially transformative day in college sports
ACC commish hints at super division as well.
The ACC commissioner envisions a 'super division' within the NCAA as a real possibility.
While these are all great comments, I would like to see them go after Emmertt. A super division is nice but it's not gonna help PSU get the sanctions reduced/overturned.
Dominate The State
Wow, he was really throwing bombs. Basically said that many schools shouldn't be in FBS.
Ummm...yes it would. If PSU wasn't apart of the NCAA there would be no sanctions. Or maybe I'm missing something.
The article was leaning toward adding a division the NCAA for the power conferences rather the leaving the NCAA.... Adding a division wouldn't reverse the sanctions...

RT @ByBerkowitz: ACC's Swofford tells @DanWolken formation of a ‘super division’ could come as soon as January: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/acc/2013/07/22/commissioner-john-swofford-super-division/2574369/ …
The schools would still be apart of the NCAA, they just would be in a separate division from the rest of Div. 1. That means that the lower D1 schools wouldn't have say in what rules applied to the power 5 conferences.
I wish they come right out and say Emmert is a asshole and a douche, fire him and everything be back to normal.
Do you really think the NCAA would allow that? I think most believe that the super div would be outside of the NCAA.
It's getting to the point where they better consider it because the Big 5 clearly are unhappy. While it would be tough, the Big 5 could move at any time which would basically destroy the NCAA.
I absolutely believe the NCAA would allow that because without the major conferences, the NCAA would lose 100s of millions of dollars and basically be left regulating the Northern Iowa's of the world.
