Any updates from the radio show last night? Thanks.
Yeah. He isn't going anywhere. As if anyone should have doubted that.
I don't think he is, but did he say something specifically regarding that?
Yes, I'm curious about this too.
"A bowl game ain't nothing but a vacation." - Gerald Hodges
He spoke about the great lengths they have gone to recently mapping out the next two months for the staff. Travel plans, recruiting, etc. Given his disinterest in taking the focus off the next game recently, I doubt it is a smokescreen. He was in a comfortable environment, not speaking to the douche squad(Cory Gagger, Jones & Jones, etc.). I think this is all about putting the local pot stirring beat writers in their place. Given his past time under BB, would it surprise you?
I caught the first 5-10 minutes on my way home from work. BOB seemed very comfortable with Steve - seemed like he was in a rare mood.
Is there a podcast of last night's show anywhere?
I cant recap the entire thing, but just to echo others sentiments, he always seems much more interactive in the call in shows. I think he feels comfortable nest to Steve, and seems to enjoy the Q&A with fans rather than reporters.
If you want some indication that he is staying, certainly nothing 100% difinitive, but he just casually spoke like a coach who has all intentions of being here.
Said he has a conversation with Wartman, and thinks he is poised to be the next in a long line of great PSU LBs.
Someone asked about Eugene Lewis, and OB thinks he is a good player and should be able to help us out in the WR mix next year.
Laid out what the next few weeks will have in terms of football schedule. Said the players will be home for Christmas, then winter worksouts start at 5:30 AM some tims after the holidays and back to the grind of workouts.
I must say, I really enjoyed the weekly show this year. Sorry to see it end already.
EDIT - one more thing I forgot. Someone asked about UMD andRutgers, and OB praised the additions, and said it will be fun to play and recruit against the eastern schools.

Thank you for the recap.
Agreed. If you watch Flounders/Jones Indiana post-game wrap-up on PennLive, Flounders was actually laughing at Jones when Jones said B'OB didn't close the door on leaving. After watching B'OB's response at the press conference myself, I thought it was obvious to anyone he's staying.
I'm beginning to see why Joe used to give Jones a hard time. Dude rubs me the wrong way.
"You can take bowl games and you can take external things from people, but you can't take a warrior's heart."
in regards to BOB staying, just remember how he was able to get all those great assistant coaches to sign on to a program in shambles. I think he feels he owes it to them to stick around for a few years so they have some stability someplace too. Just look at where some of these coaches came from:
LJ and Vandy was retained and their status would be up in the air with a new coach
Roof left UCF as def coordinator as a favor to Obrien
Mac came from retirement and is his last coaching gig, I doubt he did it for a one year deal
London and Hixon left NFL programs, I'm sure they will get hired quickly, but they obviously came for more than a 1 year stint
Then you have Fitz who is a close friend of Obriens, he spent all that time and money rebuilding that strength training facility. doubt that was for a 1 year deal.
You would make a good intelligence analyst Balt. A terrible ESPN analyst though!
