WE ARE! And we will always be...
I bet there are actually more people there than ever because of this. Def makes NOOOO sense. I agree x1000. And, on top of that, you are punishing the people actually old enough to legally consume alcohol! The rate of underage drinking just went up. PALCB... Psh.

“If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.” ― Haruki Murakami
You guys have it all wrong.
They don't care about restricting your drinking. They are not "out of touch" with college drinking or about students rebelling. You don't think for one damn second that the bars downtown wouldn't fight to stay open, sell booze, and "just stop the bad ones at the door" if it was beneficial for them!?
IT'S NOT ABOUT RESTRICTING DRINKING!!!!
It's about dumb crazy ass idiots from out of town who go nuts and damage property. The ones who rip sinks off the wall at the bar, piss in elevators at the Graduate, throw shit all over the sidewalks, try to knock down light poles and vandalize because "YEAH MAN IT'S STATE PATTY'S WHOOO!"
The sale of alcohol from these bars is not worth the property damage and mayhem that ensues and that is why they are closing. So when you're still a drunken moron who is "rebelling" because "they can't stop us from drinking and you have to fight for your right to patty," you're not at their place destroying their stuff.
That's why apt buildings are also beefing the hell out of security.
They're not trying to take alcohol out of your hands. This is just businesses making sure the mayhem isn't taking place on their property.
So all you people here ranting about drinking and these idiot frats "making arguments about why the bars should stay open," are completely missing the point.
