Turbotville (Pa.) Warrior Run OL Austin Fiedler told me that he plans to run on at Penn State, chalk up another one. 'I'm going to be a Nittany Lion.' Said he committed over the phone to Mac McWhorter.
"He was excited that I finally committed and said 'welcome to the family," said Fiedler. "It is still kind of hard to believe that my dream of being a Nittany Lion is coming true."

Awesome. I wonder if the staff wants him at OT or G... I'm guessing guard...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Nice. The run-ons thus far seemed to be a little heavier on DB/WR type of athletes, and I was hoping for more linemen.
Awesome. It's going to be fun tracking these run ons. While not all will pan out it will be neat seeing the ones that thrive and have successful careers given an opportunity they may not have had without the scholarship reductions.
Meyer4Prez "This is wut happens when ur team site analyst are huge homers glad Bill K+Alex G keep it real instead of getting our hopes up."
Welcome (back) Austin!
Austin is a really good kid. Maybe he told Sean what position but the next time I run into him (at the gym) I'll ask him. All he said yesterday was that the plan is to redshirt and gain some good weight. He is currently 285 for wrestling and they told him they want him around 310 after he is in the program. Kid is always sporting PSU gear when I see him!
Awesome. Welcome to the family.
Special teams, special teams special teams....those DB/WR types will be huge there.
Oh I know. I just really like to see the big boys join as well. Feel like the difference for those guys can often be the S&C program.
And I'm not just saying this for 72's benefit.
time to turn good athletes into great players
Not all 5 stars pan out either!
Great news. Charlie Fisher is from around that part of the state. I wonder if he had a hand in the recruitment?
Either way, this is great to see PSU landing so many "run ons" from high schools across the state. That will pay dividends in the future.
"dream of being a Nittany Lion"
gotta love this kid already. Best of luck Austin.
"We want the warriors"
This is a great overlooked point. Each of these kids from all over the state of PA become ambassadors for the penn st football program. They create new connections between high school coaching staffs and communities and penn st football. Over time this will be important to this program. Back in the 80 s every Pa kid wanted to go to penn st. That faded over the years as our staff and head coach slowed down. This reenergizes penn st in the state. So whether these kids ever play or not I think it is great for the program.
Awesome!!! Warrior Run always seemed to have a great wrestling program. It is cool to see a hard nosed kid get a shot at football from that area. Welcome aboard !!!
I would imagine Fiedler is scheduled for OT
