I talked with Anthony Lubrano two weekends ago at Franco Harris' "Upon Further Review" event. Lubrano said that another interesting action was about to hit in the next couple weeks. Now this Mark Horgas guy is tweeting that "A Philadelphia law firm notified the #NCAA on Friday, February 1, 2013 that they were suing the NCAA. Infer as u wish"
Anyone else getting the vibe that a lawsuit from the Paternos and/or lettermen will be announced in the next few days....maybe the day of, or day before, the SuePa interview with Couric (Monday, Feb 11)?
Side note: Franco Harris was as down-to-earth and nice as could be. Have long been impressed with his courage to stick up for Paterno.
TIFWIW but someone told me they spoke to Blair Thomas and he said to tune in on Sunday
I've also heard the Paterno lawsuit will be announced soon. Perhaps that's why SuePa is going on this interview.
Dominate The State
The thread has some 'music to the ears" feel. Not the least bit because of the names Paterno, Blair Thomas, and Franco Harris have appeared.

It would be so great to get a reduction in sanctions going into this next recruiting cycle. I seriously think the PSU staff could put together consistent Top 15 classes without sanctions hanging over the program.
At this stage, Mark Horgas has the same level of credibility as Sekrah (sp).
Yea, if it was just the Horgas info I would dismiss it but with the other rumblings surfacing I think something anti-NCAA/pro-PSU is about to hit.
If you are not going to be home on Sunday morning, set your DVR just in case.....

I'm hopful that something happens, but I am with you on Mark Horgas. He seems to throw stuff out there hoping that it sticks. However, it looks like there is some smoke to this, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The question is, if the NCAA does indeed cave, and reduces the sanctions, just how long will this take? A year? Longer?

I also had the pleasure of a long conversation with Anthony on that same evening. He wasn't specific but alluded to the fact that something big was up and to "just wait" Anthony bleeds Blue and White and we are fortunate to have him representing our interests on the board and in the community. Regarding Franco, spot on, kind gracious and devoutly loyal to Joe and PSU.
I'm buying it. Sue on the Couric show strongly suggests that there is smoke about something being released. I just hope it something with some meat and not just another "review of the Freeh report" where it's picked apart with a fine tooth comb pointing out the obvious flaws. I've been following that stuff and would love nothing more than for it to be exposed for what it was, but even I'm getting bored with that approach. If someone like me is bored, the average person wont even listen.
I'm hoping it's related to the NCAA because they have been on the hot seat recently after the Miami issue and now the continued stuff coming out of UNC. I'm not sure there is a better time to hit them with another law suit than right now. Super bowl is over, LOI day has come and gone, and the draft is still a ways out. Plenty of weeks for the masses to focus on the ineptness of Emmert and the NCAA.
Either way, I'm on tap for 2 feet of snow this weekend and hopefully a nice surprise on Sunday morning to reward my shoveling efforts!
Any hints on what channel?

i think espn
I hear ya. The thing is with all that has happened most people have their mind made up regardless of what comes out. If the sanctions get reduced I couldn't give a flying eff what anyone else thinks. Eff Em.
Rumor is ESPN at 9 AM.
Outside the lines is on at 9 on Sundays
Interesting if ESPN hasn't advertised this at all yet.
I don't think they really advertise their OTL segments. Word always leaks out when a big story is about to hit, but ESPN keeps it fairly quiet until like late Saturday.
Maybe the NCAA was paying someone (or freeh) for inside info. Maybe they were too involved in the investigation and pulling the strings. If the NCAA tried to influence the outcome that would be really big for PSU. We know that they communicated with the Freeh Group weekly/bi-weekly. Why?
As long as she leaves Scott Paterno at home, this can only be good.
As for the 2 feet of snow, I'm not sure what to tell you other than I hope you have your fridge well stocked.

I just don't have a lot of faith in ESPN. They live in the pigeon coop and they are just looking for the dirtiest pigeon.
I know. Just speculating on anything that can tie to the Miami case. I couldn't come up with any other tie in if it has anything to do with ESPN capitalizing on the moment. I admit it is far fetched.
