His father Brian with a confirmation that Adam has indeed torn his ACL.
"We are very grateful for the outpouring of support over the past 24 hours with regards to Adam's injury. An MRI this morning confirmed that Adam has a torn ACL in his right knee. While he is disappointed that he will be unable to play football his senior season, he is very optimistic about his future at Penn State, and is totally committed to making a full recovery in time for the 2013 season. WE ARE!"

That's terrible. But, he's young and should recover just fine. Lots of good doctors in the Mid-Penn.
Best wishes to the young man.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
A torn ACL is not that big anymore, almost all come back as good as new.
“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
Well, if there's any good news to come out of this, I suppose we don't have to worry about Urban Meyer or any other coach getting in his ear trying to sway him from his commitment. Not that he was wavering or anything anyway.
.... Hope he has a speedy recovery.
If it's just a torn ACL and not ACL, PCL, and MCL damage then it honestly is not that bad all things considered.
Adam is an absolutely outstanding young man who certainly has the dedication to come back from this injury and do great things both on and off the field.
Best of luck young man. Can't wait to see you suit up again in Blue and White.

Wow. I really feel for Adam. It's tough knowing two months before your senior year that you've already played your last down of high school football. No other experience like it. Poor kid.
There was never a worry about AB swaying.
Sad to hear for his Cedar Cliff team... But in regards to PSU he has plenty of time to get perfectly healthy.
Here's to a speedy and full recovery Adam.
While this really doesn't effect PSU since he'll be recovered by the time he steps on campus, I feel extremely bad he'll have to miss his senior year of high school, as that's not something he'll ever get back. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Will be interesting to see how Ford (2014 QB prospect) reacts this football season without his favorite target.
Best of luck to Adam in his recovery.
Hopefully, he makes a quick and full recovery.
I see this only motivating the young man further. I do feel for him, missing your senior year really sucks.
Adam - We Are behind you!
Stay positive. Thanks for helping set the tone for our program.
I am proud to have you in the family - student first, football second.
That said, I can't wait to see you destroy the B1G in 2013!
That's very unfortunate for him. Hopeful for a quick recovery.
I wish him a fast recovery. Hope he still managed to enjoy his senior season.
Big blow for him...he was already going to have run around for his dear life because of no o-line....now his safety net is out for the year
Good luck to Adam. Here's hoping that knee comes back stronger and better than ever! HE IS and WE ARE!!
Major bummer for him. A torn ACL can be fixed. A complete knee reconstruction would worry me, but this is recoverable. That is if he doesn't try to be tough and walk on it right before or after surgery or deviates from his physical therapy.
I have all the faith in the Adam will be smart about this and make a full recovery, I only say this because I know someone who tore their ACL and tried to be tough and walk on it without crutches right before & after his surgery and never made a full recovery. But again I believe Adam will do the right thing.
Best of luck to the young man.

"On paper they have nothing to play for– no bowl games, rankings, or championships– yet they play like they have everything on the line."
Tough, tough break. He'll recover in time to help out in 2013. Stay the course PSU
Sorry for the loss guys, hope he recovers, seems like a really nice guy.
As far as the injury goes, I do feel bad for him, but I know it's something he'll work hard to bounce back from.
I feel even worse that he'll miss his senior season. He is a realllllly good teammate and I've gotten to watch him and Cedar Cliff get better and better through the last three years. I was (as everybody else around here) looking forward to him and QB Andrew Ford connecting on a regular basis. Just an all-around downer.

Dang. I feel bad for him. I know how he feels too because I missed more than half of my senior season with a dislocated shoulder. (happened twice)
