Anyone watching this short documentary about him on the evil network's mnf countdown? I never knew he was so into art. Who was the player a few years back that did art a lot too?
Thanks! It was going to kill me, I couldn't think of his name! It was a really nice piece they did on him though.

"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
found it online if anyone is interested...
Art has been a blessing to Jets linebacker Aaron Maybin. And he uses that blessing to put things in perspective away from the football field.
+1 Thanks for posting that.
Excellent piece. I'd suggest viewing it.
Matt is a great guy, have got to know him over the last couple of years.

That was a nice piece by ESPN. Shame on the Bills for not knowing how to use him. I would love to get my hands on that JoePa piece they showed for about a half a second

WE ARE and ALWAYS will be...... RIP JVP
That was an awesome piece. I wasn't aware he lost a son, can't imagine what that's like. I'm glad he's found peace and seems to be happy again.
I don't blame the bills, I don't think he was ready for the NFL from a physical or maturity standpoint. He need more time with LJsr to work on his craft.

The coaches are to blame in part. Jauron drafted him and Chan Gailey inherited him, but he never seemed to rise to what they wanted him to do. I will say that once Gailey came aboard, I don't think he really liked Maybin nearly as much as Jauron did.
Overall, I'd say it's much more on Maybin, though, than the coaches. He couldn't maintain weight and really just had a hard time adjusting. I know what he's done with the Jets, but I think he's the kind of player who needed a solid to great defense around him to do well. Just don't think he was ready when he entered the draft.
The 2005 Penn State Football Schedule Poster was done by Matt Rice.
He has it on his website store and other cool PSU drawings.
