  • I worked with a child who has Aspergers and he was the sweetest kid I've ever been around. Now I'm not an expert by any means, but I agree with previous posts, I have not seen that correlation in my experience.

  • You don't kill yourself if what you thought you did wasn't wrong.. Wish the media would not rush to get a name out there bc his brother, who has lost both his parents bc of his brother, was blamed with the shootings bc the media rushes to get any info out to the public..

To be clear, they entioned in the broadcast that it was extremely rare and that usually individuals inflicted with that condition are susceptible to being violated than to commit violence.

Thanks, MTAYL I could definitely see that happening. In my instance the little guy was so sweet that I could definitely see him being vulnerable/susceptible for some coward to take advantage of him.

I didn't mean that he did it BECAUSE he had asbergers.. I was just saying that it was something that they said. That was not what I was saying at all.

  • The only thing I can think of regarding is that if one has asperger's they could be susceptible to being lonely because they are told they are different (when they are not). Loneliness and boredom can send one into a deep depression. I don't blame aspergers though. One interesting fact is that some experts think everyone is autistic to a degree.

    Play

Clay Marzo- Surfer with Aspergers - Seems ...

Clay Marzo is widely considered one of the best young surfers on the planet. http://www.quiksilver.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3316415 But, say some experts, is greatness in the water may in part be due to his inability to function normally on land. Clay has Aspergers Syndrome, a form of Autism, and that may give him a huge edge over oherr top surfers. Watch and judge for yourself.

I have a cousin with Aspergers... He is a good kid and has a private tutor... Never said there was a correlation. Jesus. That's what they said. I went upstairs to get dinner. Was planning on posting more after commercial, but it was only one segment... That's what I caught so I thought I'd post it. I never said that he did it because he had it. Why does everyone jump to that conclusion?

  • Exactly, I didn't see it, and would refuse to watch, I hope his name, his life story, his picture, none of it was ever shown. When is the media going to step up and accept their role in this awful stuff. Why do we have so many copycats? Because they get a platform, some mentally ill person who in some way probably saw their life as marginalized, watches us tell the life story of the Aurora shooter, talk about what wrong, memorialize him in some backhanded way by doing all of this in the eyes of someone not completely sane, so they go off the handle and get the same treatment, and become 'someone' in the world.

I'm sorry, but when this stuff happens, all we need to know is age and that the person is either dead, or never going to see the light of day again. No name, no story, no interviewing neighbors about how we was a good kid, none of it, nothing that the next sicko would see as enticing to go the same path. Then maybe these things might stop happening in threes and fours. Will never stop madness in this world entirely, but any attention paid to the perpetrator is too much and flat out wrong. Same thing happened after Columbine.

But no the media, claims they're some group of professionals doing 'their job' in chronicling the events and the stories behind it. No professional would shove a mic in a 10-year old's face after that atrocity...period.

Sorry if this crosses the political lines here, tried to stay away from the policy end of it. I am so sick of the media cowardice, I am pissed. A bunch of ratings whoo-res that can't accurately report that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west without getting someone from the ACLU and the tea party to angrily debate it.

  • I was born with asphalt disease, which resulted with a crack in my bum.

Asperger's is another well-known disease. As far as Asburgers, if I knew my burger was made of one, I probably would decline to eat it.

Nice post. Yes, the mainstream media has made it quite clear in the past year or two, on several major topics, that collectively they are not good people and cannot be trusted.
