It's a valid concern, but I think you overestimate the immediacy of being solely tied to the PSU program. This year, he's not playing with any of his own recruits. Even if we struggle, for a couple years he can still tell kids that he's trying to implement his system, but needs (recruit x) to be his (player from patriots). I'm not a huge fan of this pitch, but BOB needs to be successful in recruiting early, and so far it is working.
